    Who wins?

I think Tackie would have knocked Kat out in a war.

I haven't seen anything Tackie, but I've never fought much of Katsidis. I love the guy's spirit, but he wasn't much more than European level.

I'd favor Tackie's slow-but-steady pressure over Kat's wilder and more sporadic attack and questionable stamina down the stretch.

Also, what weight class would this be fought at? Tackie peaked at 140, Kat at 135.

135 is the only logical weight class it could happen at.

Did Kat ever fight at 140?

    Toward the end, I think.

IDK how good Tackie was down at 135 TBH.

The Roberto Garica fight was technically at lightweight. Actually a tad over, Tackie weighed 136.

I never gave Tackie much credit for this win. He was just so much bigger. I liked Tackie's win over T. Reid. What's weird is, I recall Tszyu getting all kinds of credit for beating Tackie - his win over him probably coincided with the height of his acclaim. But what top fighter didn't beat Tackie?

Thats the whole point, Doub. Neither of these guys were top fighters...

Tackie should win though. Bigger puncher, stronger, better chin.

Kat's best win was Kevin Mitchell, which was a huge upset at the time. Mitchell was highly regarded coming in.

Katsidis almost beat Casamayor, but he ran into a big shot late and was stopped. After that, he seemed to descend into journeyman status.

His war with Graham Earl was one of the best fights of the 00s.

I've never understood the hype around that fight, personally. Earl scored a glove-to-canvas knock down when on the verge of being stopped but apart from that moment he got beaten up throughout.
