Is this a repeat of Benitez-Palomino?

Like every Benitez fight thought you have to put in the caveat of what kind of shape he's in. Wilfredo should/would have a field day moving, countering and landing at will but the thing is Margarito is not the kind to be embarrassed by his lack of effectiveness and get gun shy. He'd keep coming forward getting willingly punched in the face if he can land 1 to Wilfred's 15. The gulf in skill is massive, but the difference is balls and strength is not.

I think MArgaraito would be a bit competitive because of his size and strenght, but Benitez would land the much better punches, and always be in the lead.

Marg would NOT be competitive. Too sloth, too plodding, punches too wide.

This is a complete white wash.

Palomino, who was not a speed merchant, was able to give a good fight to Benitez by pressuring him, despite what a few ricans says. No way that margarito get completely outclassed by Benitez

Palomino wasn't outclassed per say, but he was clearly beaten. It wasn't close by any means.

Benitez in shape and at his best IMO gives Margarito a good schooling. Better than what Pacquiao was able to do.

    Benitez via UD shutout.

with or without wraps? with wraps, marg doesn't need to be set to punch. throws huge volume. doesn't load up on every punch. and is generally undeterred. plus he has subtle skills. this is a close fight imo. without wraps marg loses.

Margarito could have cement wraps in his gloves and it wouldn't matter.

Benitez is too slick and cunning for him.

    1. Palomino gave Will a good fight, but make NO mistake, Benitez outclassed him in style. It was a clinic. One of the all time best clinics, actually.

    2. Palomino was a more skilled technician than Marg.

Benitez would make Marg look totally inept.
