Two iconic recordings... Leonard Bernstein and the NY Philharmonic and The Columbia Symphony Orchestra give the definitive renderings of two Gershwin classics ... Iconoclastic Glenn Gould interprets Bach's famous "Goldberg Variations" on an instrument that didn't exist in Bach's time - the piano - sending the stuffy and conservative classical world into a tizzy ... which one is your pick, Magus?

    Neither count, really.
We discuss music that falls under 'rock or pop' and that indeed includes 'proto rock' as it was in it's infancy in the 1950s.

    We discuss "music" period

You're inventing parameters to hide your obvious inferiority

What's next? Broadway musical performances? I like classical music but this is just pedantic.

These two albums are among the very best and most iconic recordings of the century ... Indispensable to any truly comprehensive "classical" (misnomer) collection and really they both transcend that box

It's pedantic? Why? Because it's not easy?

And what in God's name does Broadway have to do with this? (I loathe musicals)
