20 years ago we’ve had some very memorable fights from that year. Corrales vs Castillo 1 is undoubtedly the most famous of them all but the other fights aren’t too far behind in terms of excitement and drama. Which fight would you say comes in second to Corrales vs Castillo 1 as the best fight of 2005?

Corrales Castillo 1 was the best fight but there was only 4 or 5k ppl at Mandalay bay, despite all the 50k perpetrators claiming they were there so maybe 2nd or 3rd in atmosphere. The fans there were wild as fuck tho, even after a slow paced Juan marquez fight on the undercard

Morales pacquiao was second best action but top atmosphere with a near 50/50 split between Mexican/Filipino raucous fan bases.

Arce hussein was a good atmosphere on the undercard of Castillo Corrales 2 at Thomas & wack, everyone amped for the FOT century rematch that didn't live up to expectations but this 1 was worth admission price

Watching on TV, you could tell Corrales-Castillo 1 and Cotto-Torres deserved better audiences and atmosphere.

Corrales-Castillo 1 is arguably the best fight ever, and there wasn’t a large crowd.

Cotto-Torres was on the undercard of Wlad-Peter 1 and crowd wasn’t very loud. Imagine it being one of Cotto’s NYC fights. The crowd would be going crazy with all the back and forth action and momentum shifts.

I’m always impressed when I see those fights with those crazy electric UK crowds (Hatton-Tszyu, Watson-Benn, Bruno-McCall, etc)

That was the beauty of Pavlik-Taylor 1.

Great fight and it had a sold out, electric crowd.
