Pac is greater. I think peak Arguello was better. Even if you say Pac is better, I have no clue what the "clearly" argument would be.
I would pick Arguello to beat Pacquiao @ FW and 130, maybe LW, but not at 140 I think in my mind Pacquiao is greater

It would come down to dynamism and versatility, areas where Pacquiao is one of the best ever. Defensively, Arguello is definitely better IMO - although Pacquiao is wildly underrated in this regard, he was far from easy to hit - but I think Pacquiao was better offensively. At his peak at 140, especially. He was even more powerful, fast and explosive, as well as just as skilled. He had better feet and a better chin too.
Nah, disagree. I think Arguello was better offensively. Pac was without question a great deal faster, but he never had the punch variety and even-handed power Arguello had. Also, while I wouldn't say that Pac avoided body shots ala Ali, Arguello was certainly more committed to punishing the basement and back up to the head. I think Arguello has a pretty goddamn good argument as the second greatest offensive fighter OAT behind Louis.
