Close decision either way. If Mercer comes in with his mind together & his waistline in check he wins, IMO.
No sure thing, especially in the latter case. I like Foreman by a tight decision. Mercer would make a great fight of it & out-work Foreman in stages, but I fancy the judges to side with the old man's thudding jab, which would find its home, & heavy rights as the better-scoring blows overall.
Mercer has never really outboxed anyone in the manner that would be required to beat George. He would be in front of George, & George's superior strength & power would give him the effective agressor nod in a close dec.
This is a Mythical Matchup and as such we have to assume the fighter at his best. So it will be the Mercer who bludgeoned Morrison and gave Lennox Lewis hell. Having said that..Foreman still wins by a close decision.
I think Mercer wins a close decision based on more clean punches landed. I can see him outworking George the way Steward did in late rounds
