Chacon was better, the guys he fought were better Still, Gatti would no doubt be in the fight and would hurt Chacon, maybe even win... but I think if Chacon kept some semblance of discipline (he was capable of that sometimes, with excellent results) he knocks Gatti out eventually
Early 80s Chacon would have stopped the 130lb Gatti in 9 or 10 rounds. Too clever, too experienced, he'd weather the storm and then start breaking Gatti down to the body. His chin would stand up to the desperation blows and he'd eventually get through enough for the ref to stop it. Love both fighters tho. Gibola
pretty much how I see it as well... COuld definitely see Gatti hurting him, but Chacon was clever and had a great right hand and eventually he gets Gatti out of there
