You might want to try http://www.Prizefightingbooks.com Looks like they have a few different Tunney biographies available. The most recent one looks like it was published in 2006 by Jack Cavanaugh. I've never read a Tunney bio myself so I don't know which one is actually any good. Click on the hardcover section and use Ctrl-F on your keyboard to search for Tunney stuff.
Cheers Whiskey & Nobleart looks like a good one! Read a flame of pure fire a while back and really enjoyed that one. Just in process of reading one on Sonny Liston which is very good. LOK; I'm fine man not dead just can't be arsed talking shit all the time on here anymore
It amazes me here how few people actually read books on boxing anymore. Any poll of who's reading what in these forums seems a good barometer for that. People generally list an impressive (they think) range of books they have read or are in the "middle" of reading. (lots of peeps in the "middle" of books they never seem to finish, "middle" usually being around page 3-15). Just my observation, but very rarely do I read about a poster discussing a boxing book. Maybe the forums have largely replaced all that. :dunno:
I read quite a few books on boxing but they can be hit and miss in terms of the quality of the writing and information they provide. Regarding people been in the middle of books i never understand people having multiple books on the go i only read one book at a time
