I guess this thread starts with Tyson, as Mike is good friends with a lot of guys; namely Chavez, Duran, Leonard, Hearns, and Judah.

Leonard and Hearns are very good friends. They call eachother regularly.

Duran and Chavez are friends. They always had a friendly rivalry, but emphasis on the friendly part.

As I understand, Duran and Wilfredo Gomez were very good friends in their primes. I wonder if Duran still checks on him given Gomez's condition.

Oscar and Raul Marquez were good friends.

Chris on ESB has demonstrated that Eder Jofre and Carlos Zarate are friends with each other in old age.

 

First one i though of. Ring Mag (or some boxing publication) did an article on friends fighting and Brown/Blocker were among them.

 

Josh Taylor is close to his idol, Ken Buchanan.

 

This is per his social media, it seems Nando Vargas and Tommy Hearns are friends.

 

Forgot about Tyson and Fenech. Those two are good friends. As Neil will tell ya, Fenech has almost an obsession with Mike.

Roy Jones Jr and Derrick Gainer. I remember back in the 90's he would walk out with Gainer. Not sure how close they were but Roy was always with Derrick.

Pacquio and Morales. He was asked once about who he was better friends with Marquez(fellow country man) or Manny Pacquio. He said he is friends with Manny and has even visited Manny in the Philippines and done beer commercials together jaja.

 

Mike is cool with Shannon Briggs. They're not super close like Mike and Zab, but Mike and Shannon like each other. Shannon looks up to Mike.

I don't know what the deal is with Bowe, but I get the feeling that due to brain damage, he's alienated himself from most of his peers.

 

Oscar and Hatton are friends. I guaran fucking tee you that they've done lines together. I'd bet anything on it.

Michael Brodie told me he was a massive friend of John Murray's, and both Michael and John are both friends with Matthew and Ricky Hatton. Matt's really good mates with

Carl Thompson is good mates with Chris Eubank but absolutely hates David Haye. He was also a big fan of Ola Afolabi.

 

Joe Frazier and Bob Foster were friends.

 

Haye doesn't seem too likable.

Aren't Hatton and Calzaghe cool? Like not close mates, but friendly.

 

Ali and Tyson were close. You can tell Mike legitimately loved him.
