Example Bowe/Golota. Bowe was throughly out jabbed and had no idea how to deal with it.

Lennox liked to jab, but Mercer had an even better jab and also the small ring forced Lewis to stand and fight. So he did just that, gritted his teeth and threw combinations, capturing a close but just decision

    Ike/Tua.

A close one but Ike outslugged Tua with more variety, volume and better combinations.

Marquez ran into a quicker, longer, better counter-puncher in Floyd Mayweather, and didn't win more than two rounds.

    Tua clearly won imo.

The fight is pretty fresh in my mind. I just rewatched it like 3 nights ago.

I still don't see how Ike got the decision.

Floyd ran into Judah, and for the first time was in with a guy faster than himself. He adjusted by walking Zab down behind the high guard, and beating him up the body.

Carbajal vs Gonzalez. Found out the guys was more powerful than him, still continued to bomb and got the ko

Gonzalez wasn't a bigger puncher than Carbajal.

Carbajal was the best puncher in history below 112. He had legitimate one punch fighting-ending power.

Im not a connaiseur of the lower weights, so ill take your word for it.

What about Gainer against Marquez. Realised that Marquez was a better counterpuncher than him, so he decided to just stop throwing punches

Absolutely not. Say what you want about Jimmy Wilde's era, but his power was leagues above Carbajal's. He'd be a small strawweight today, and yet he was KOing world class bantamweights. He didn't even weigh 112lbs full clothed.

Basically fights where a fighter beats another fighter at their own game.
Canelo fought GGG differently in the rematch when he decided to put the pressure on him, something GGG wasn't used to dealing with.

Rigo getting outboxed and outslicked by Loma. Didn't know how to deal with someone who was quicker and more elusive, and had to resort to constant holding.

Not necessarily. There's a possibility that boxer who's outmatch at his usual game use a different one and wins

Mathysse against Provodnikov. Faced a better brawler than him, decided to box him (some would say run) instead

Tua outboxed Ike, no doubt. Different class of boxing skills.

A bit weak tie-in… but Barrera ‘out-intimidated’ Hamed.

    Joyce vs Pep.

Joyce was an incredible out-boxer, very smooth and could be highly elusive. He beat Henry Armstrong and Ike Williams, yet he ran into a horror story full of cringy one-liners by the name of Willie Pep. He lost almost every round to the far superior technician.

    Montell Griffin vs RJJ
Never thought I’d see a guy hang with and out counter punch Roy but in the first fight Griffin actually was doing the impossible. Griffin couldn’t maintain it though and appeared to be on his way to a stoppage loss before Roy got overzealous and hit him illegally.

I thought Roy coped amazingly well up until the end though. He never panicked and never looked unconfident or shocked even as he was getting out-pointed early. Hell, Roy didn’t even lose his composure or seem significantly pissed when Griffin pushed Roy’s head up with his shoulder and followed that up with two well placed free shots to the chin. Roy just kept his composure, kept coming forward and kept the pressure on Griffin til he eventually hurt him and made Griffin take the knee that lead to Roy hitting him illegally.

Roy changed tactics in the rematch and just went straight for the kill bombing Griff out in seconds.

It was an artistic tribute to Terry Norris that the referee didn't understand due to being uncultured.
