That said, I feel bad for Horgan. A lot of people fuck w/ him due to his age, but I've always gotten along with him and he's always gone out of his way to treat me with respect. A shame that the site didn't work out.

The quality of a lot of sites is going down. Lot less quality writing and content on the net, unless you are eastside and let every fan write stuff. The German website I used to write for also closed down early this year after eight years, and with it the only independent boxing voice in German, but people were simply burned out and moved on.

I don´t know if it is a sign that Doug Fisher jumped ship, but for the last couple of months MaxBoxing was basically Kim articles, TNR and Fisher´s mailbags. Don´t know if that gossiptalk.net site is still up and running, but I heard they also have trouble.

Just sit it out Cupey and the world is yours.

I only had one experience with him, and it was a bit sour, but otherwise, I think he does alright work.

I don't know about the age thing though. I started doing this when I was 19 and never got crap from people. I've seen other kids get crap though, but that's because they're constantly acting their age.

On the other hand, I often lied about my age to some people and grew a big beard for a while.

Yup, zero revenue means zero dollars. Maybe buy it for the press passes, I don't know. Seems to me you can just start a site from scratch to do that. :dunno:

    Yep.

People who start their own site pump money into it and after letting it die out or realizing that they aren't making much of a return on their investment (if any), expect to make all that money back and then some.

Sorry, but no. There are people out there who will buy a site on the cheap, and fold it into theirs, but otherwise, nobody should buy a website that isn't a big draw by boxing site standards. There's only a few sites that actually make any money.
