My mind is made up. I'm going with Bradley to beat Pacquiao by points decision. I think he's extra hungry and motivated to win this particular fight. It means more to him than anything else and he's going to give it his absolute all. He wants to prove a point and shut a load of people up. I doubt Pacquiao slightly you know and I think it's the mental side of his game I doubt. I cant ant wait for this one.
Pac won the first one a good 9-3 on my card, I don't see any reason he can't win this one as well... Pac by decision, maybe a bit closer (on my card, anyway)
Pacquiao OUTCLASSED Bradley Until Taking his Foot OFF the GAS...They were 2 Different Levels of Fighter, from REED's Eye's... Bradley's NOT a Puncher, so Any Residual Effects from Marquez IV Won't Apply...If Bradley Comes Out as Aggressively as he's TALKING, Pac STOPS him in about 8...Otherwise, Pac by UD... REED:hammert:
I doubt either guy makes major changes so I think it will look a lot like the first fight but with Pac getting the decision.
Bradley is much improved but he could be timed. He is not the same FIGHTER who was completely outclassed by Manny. Question is what Pacquiao has left. This is a pick'em fight.
People Constantly Question what Manny Has Left, Post-Marquez IV, but Bradley-Provodnikov was EASILY a More GRUELING, Career SHORTENING Bout... Getting SPARKED w/1 Shot DOESN'T Take as Much Out of a Guy as a Round by Round SLUGFEST Does... REED:hammert:
I think you always have to ask 'What does he have left?' of a guy Pacs age - especially a guy who relies on speed/reflex! Any of these nights could be the one where he shows up and it aint there anymore.
It's Fine to ASK, REED Just Finds it Strange NOBODY is Wondering if Bradley is DIMINISHED, Post-Provodnikov... REED:dunno:
Because it was only 1 tough fight in a relatively easy career, and he looked fine Vs Marquez, I think that fight is overblown. Sure Nikov laid the smack down on Bradley in some rounds, but it's not like he took a proper pasting. It had nowhere near the level of consistent violence that Morales - Barrera 1 had for example, and they were both fine after that. I think people tend to exaggerate the effects of one tough fight. Most of the time 1 fight isn't enough to have a significant effect on a fighter. It's usually a culmination of tough fights. 1 fight has to be extremely, particularly violent, and I don't think Bradley Vs Provvles was.
I scored it 10-2 Pacquiao. I expect this fight to be much closer though. I don't think Pacquiao does very well in rematches at all, especially in fights where he won the first one (Barrera, Marquez). Plus, Bradley has surely improved with the extra experience of his previous 3 fights. I think it'll be a much closer fight this time and won't be surprised at all if Bradley gets the decision, as he always does.
Kendall Holt Landed MORE than a Few MEATY Shots on Bradley as Well...The 1st Half of Pac-Bradley I WASN'T a Cakewalk for Tim Either... REED:hammert:
I have to agree. His performance against Marquez was spot on. No signs of slowing, only sticking to his game plan really well. He'll try the same with Manny with an active jab...Can Pacquiao disrupt his offense with his speed and straight left? or will Manny be outworked while praying Holy Mary's for Bradley not to get hurt?
bradley looked flat in his first fight at 147 (that i know of) vs. abregu a few years back. now that he's had a few fights at 147 recently, he might be more comfortable at that weight. not to make excuses for how he looked in the first fight, but i'm just sayin...
The 1st Fight Amounted to a Difference in SKILL...Tim Bradley is Certainly No More SKILLFUL than he was 3 Fights Ago... Pac's FIRE has Diminished Over the Years, but Bradley has GUARANTEED that Won't Happen in the RE, w/his Comments..."Like I Said Before", REED is Expecting what will Be Perhaps The Last GREAT Performance of Manny Pacquiao's Storied Career...He's just BETTER than Tim Bradley, Simple as That...Even the 24/7 Producers COULDN'T Characterize the 1st Fight as Anything OTHER than a PATHETIC Decision... REED:hammert:
Bradley was a less reasonable (sympathetic?) ref away from being stopped against the mad russkie ... Not a fight to be glossed over... He took enormous punishment to earn that victory
Agree that it's overblown if we think Bradley is permanently damaged from it but I think you are way underselling that Provo fight (see above)
How is Bradley improved since their first fight??? Because he beat Marquez? Other than to fight Pacquiao....who style he already knows and matches up well...Marquez has no business at 147...pick Thurman Merman or Guerrero would give Marquez a spanking at 147....
Bradley has a great chin, is active and has showed improved footwork. What bothered Marquez was his movement. It was the way he beat Marquez. I wouldn't sleep on TB. This is a very tough fight for Manny anywhere you slice it...
Khabib Allakhverdiev vs Jessie Vargas is on the undercard I think. I'm going with Allakhverdiev to stop Vargas in 9 rounds.
