Oh and Mario Cawley gets put on the latter list, for eternity, for his god-awful effort against Hasim Rahman.

It was so bad it was hilarious.

Sounds like the big boxing myth where "brave" equals with "poor defense".

IMHO the bravest fighter of the recent history is Sugar Ray Leonard

The poor defense helps, but I was also thinking about opposition level and getting in the ring immediately with someone who gave them a bad beating.

On that note, Mosley also gets in there. Immediate rematches with guys who dominated him.

With all due respect, a pointless thread where "bravery" is being equated to STYLE.

Who a boxer steps in the ring with - and the fact that they do at all - shows their bravery.

    Peace.

What´s point of getting in the ring with Erik Morales, Acelino Freitas and Rocky Juarez with no intention to fight. It´s liking a soldier saying: I´m going to the middle east to fight for our freedom, you can reach me in Dubai, Hilton, room 4543 president lounge. :tease:

The thread is just another way for L to bash the fighters he hates, such as Jones, Mayweather, and Hatton.

I would remove fighters such as Bruce Seldon and Alex Stewart. Both of them were simply looking for a nice place on the canvas to lie on.

Regardless of whether you base it on styles, or level of competition, how does Pacquaio's name go unmentioned?

It's criminal not to have Chico on the brave list, that guy didn't have one molecule of quit in him.

Pacman needs to be there. Lest we not forget, this vicious little fucker started his career as a FLYWEIGHT, and for some time too, not just a couple of fights.

Hey, I never claimed it was an exhaustive list. That's why I enlisted everyone's input. But I agree - Chico and Pacquiao belong on the list of "braves."
