The first boxing promotion of Lamon Brewster's Relentless Events was a resounding success, featuring a night full of devastating knockouts and musical performances from acclaimed artists Yung Joc and Keri Hilson. Not to mention "The Return" of the former WBO heavyweight champion Brewster himself. The card took place in Cincinnati, Ohio's Cincinnati Gardens and drew a near capacity crowd. The event was promoted in association with Colin Bates' C'Believe and Andrew Williams' R&R Promotions. http://www.fightbeat.com/news_details.php?NW=21802

Ah, he had a detached retina. I am no doctor but I don't think that qualifies as "fucking around." I am glad he is back.
What a pussy. When Elmer McGlinsky was around he not only had two detached retinas, a bout of tuberculosis, walked 87 miles to the arena before he had to fight. On the way he got ran over by a horse and carriage that fractured his ankle and three ribs. He still won a 35 round decision over 'Battlin' Jake O'Callahan. Don't make excuses for Brewster.
I bet you wouldn't have "fucked around" even if you were dead. I think you after death and rotting for a year could take Brewster out in 2 rounds.
dsimon writes: thats not what I am addressing here. Brewster needs to stylistically resign himself to fight like he did against Golota. He needs to abandon any other way of approaching the ring. He will never beat guys boxing and he will never get close decisions against the Eastern Euro stalwarts in the division. I just hope he goes in that direction. I hope he starts to beat guys exclusively with a KO.
Is he still with Buddy McGirt? Thats a fine way to fuck your career up. He carried an extra tire around his waist for his last couple of big fights.
dsimon writes: All true! And yeah Sam Peter has the same problem... both guys could do so much but won't take the extra effort to be in the best shape they can be. Mcgirt is a yesman.
Brewster looked like crap. Was getting outboxed for the first four rounds before finding Batchelder's chin in the fifth - think Tyson-Botha. I wasn't too impressed and at 35, I think the end is near. What a shame, I had high hopes after the Golota match.
What's wrong with it? First of all Tua's like 56 years old and even back when he was fighting regularly he was boring as shit slowly following his opponent around the ring throwing one shot at a time. I still don't get why people want to see this turd fight.
I heard Toney might fight Haye. I think it was down to Rahman or Toney. At least that is what read somewhere.
I have little to no doubt that Haye would have to shoot himself in the face with 12 guage to lose to either Rahman or Toney.
