Broner-Vargas: Final Predictions

About Bullshit's final chance at contention. Can he pull it off? I don't think so. I see Vargas as simply being the better, more solid fighter and I think he'll out-fight and even outbox AB. My ONLY fear, and it is a legit fear, is that Broner wins a robbery decision. I think there's a very high chance of that happening.

 

Why do you say it's his final chance? He seems to get title shots and tv dates regardless of the outcomes of his fights.

 

I said final chance at contention. Of course he'll keep getting TV dates, but if Vargas whups him, ESPECIALLY if he does so convincingly, then AB has officially gone from fringe contender to stepping stone for upcoming prospects.

 

I still think Vargas is gonna stop Broner.

I see him timing Broner with a right hand he doesn't see, and I think he'll finish him off. Broner will probably go quietly too, especially at this point in his career.

 

I think Broner's handspeed should give the edge early. But Vargas has good timing, and Broner isn't hard to time. It should take Jesse very long to find him.

I sure as Hell hope for a Vargas stoppage. If Vargas can seriously hurt Bradley, who's far tougher than About Bullshit, then a stoppage isn't totally outta the question.

I don't rate Vargas that much either, he's one of those guys who is clearly a good fighter but not proper world class. I don't think he will stop Broner, I don't rate AB at all and never have but he's quite tough, and can fiddle around enough to avoid getting stopped, hope I'm wrong though as I can't stand the cunt.

 

Broner is more concerned with beefing with rapper Tekashi69 (who himself is a waste of life) than focusing on this fight.

Jesse is becoming the safer bet as the days go by.

Vargas took Sadam Ali's power well, and Ali has a helluva lot more pop than AB. Ali is more accurate than AB also.

I disagree about the speed statement as well. Even NOW, Pac is faster and more dynamic than About Bullshit is.

There's just ltitle indication that Broner wins this fight. He's never ONCE looked good above 140... not only not against good fighters... he arguably took an L against bum ass Granados.

He "flirting with stopping" Vargas is wishful thinking.

If anybody's getting stopped, it's not Vargas.

 

Also, Broner isn't "edgier"... he's just butt hurt.

Deep down inside... he's a bigger Floyd groupie than Sly. He's hurt by the fact that Floyd cut him off, and even more hurt by the fact that Floyd is friends with Vargas.

Also, the distractions won't help Broner. He's a drama queen. That's why the nickname X gave him fits, because he's always more worried About Bullshit than he is about his craft/profession.

My guess is he'll try hard until he realizes that Vargas wants it more. And I think once Vargas finds him with the sort of punches he caught Ali with, Broner won't put up too much resistance.

 

What's sad is, if you look at the OTHER fighters' faces while Broner was talking his shit, they ALL looked embarrassed for him.... even his boy Gervonta, who had his head down, almost as if he was sayin to himself "This nigga trippin..."

Charlo looked annoyed as Hell... like he was looking for any excuse to get up and punch AB.

Vargas should win comfortably, a fairly easy UD, just like Mikey did. Mikey is better than Jessie, but he's not even close to being a welter, and Vargas is more of a legit 147 pounder.

And I agree, even this shell of Pacquiao, "Senator" Pacquiao is much faster and more dynamic than Broner, and would box circles around him.

It kind of is IMO, and so are the close odds of the fight.

The guy is not an elite fighter, that's been proved many times now.

Vargas is not a great fighter, but he's capable and solid and better than anyone Broner has beaten, or will beat.

Broner's only impressive win is DeMarco, 6 years ago, at 135, and yet he STILL gets talked about as an elite fighter at 140/147 and gets close odds with a solid world level welter like Vargas?

That is being absurdly overrated, yeah.

 

AB winning this fight is certainly contingent on him hurting Vargas. If he can't, Vargas won't respect him, and he'll mug him the way he did Ali.

 

Broner at the very least needs to get some respect from Vargas. If he can't do it, he's cooked.

I see Vargas being too strong and too determined.

To answer your question, no... Vargas isn't as good as good as Maidana, Porter, or Garcia.

But does he have to be?

Broner BARELY beat Granados.

He hasn't won a fight cleanly since he beat up that super bum Ashley Theopane.

 

What's more... I thought a close fight would favor AB cause he's the bigger name... but Broner has now manged to alienate himself from the promoter and generally make everyone dislike him... I now believe Jesse will get the nod in a close one.

Broner has gotta stop Jesse or dominate.
