Rosario hits him hard like he did Camacho, Crawford goes straight to the bike and wins a controversial decision

Crawford would be a full fledged welterweight in the ring

Gotta Leans Toward Bud, But he CANNOT Afford to Get Caught Slipping the Way he Did vs. Gamboa or Mean Machine...

    Rosario Could CRACK...

I’ll take the guy that weighs 150 to beat the guy that weighs 135

This shit matters ... Rosario fought in the era of same-day weigh-ins ... before drying out and rehydrating two weight classes higher was a thing ... featherweights in today’s game are the same size in the ring Rosario was in the ring

Bud Crawford at “135” isn’t the same size as Edwin Rosario was, he’s the size of Simon Brown or Marlon Starling ... would anybody here like Rosario’s chances against either of those guys? Of course not, they’d be too big and strong

If this was a shitty modern guy like Juan Diaz or something, the weight difference wouldn’t matter but Crawford is a lot better than that

I was re-watching Rosario-Chavez recently, and HBO mentioned that Rosario came into the ring weighing 142... on a same-day weigh-in...

Granted, that's not the same as weighing 150... but I keep telling you over and over again that these guys (during the same-day weigh-in era) were NOT coming into the ring at the same weight they weighed in at. That's just ridiculous.

They were putting on 5-8 pounds by time they got to the ring.

HBO documented this, and guys like Gil Clancy mentioned it plenty of times.

That’s still a full weight class difference

Crawford is a lot bigger in the ring than Rosario

Even if Bud has 8 pounds on Rosario, if he gets tagged like he did against Gamboa he's in a world of shit. Bud was NOT at his best at 135.

He peaked at 140, and was much better at that weight.

I'd pick him over Chapo at 135, but only tentatively. Crawford doesn't seem to have the greatest chin.

I just think we should match these guys at least one weight class higher against guys who fought the majority of their careers prior to the mid 90s ...

Crawford was tall for 135. Not shocking he used to come as a welterweight on fight night. But him getting hurt the way he did against Gamboa would be something to think about.

Rosario had power and good hand speed. Crawford would have to be on his A game.

One of those fights where the better fighter couldn’t afford to make too many mistakes because one slip up could be the difference.
