    If Starling's up for it, he wins a competitive, but clear decision.

    If he falls asleep, McGirt would have a chance to outpoint him.

    Overall though, I think Starling would just be too physically strong for McGirt.

    agree, and hooking (McGirt's favorite offensive tactic) with Starling is a bad idea unless you are a ferociously strong and tough hooking welter, like a Basilio or Griffith... Starling could counter left hooks with his own as well as any fighter I have ever seen, just masterful at it... you'd need to be a much stronger welterweight than Buddy (like the two guys above) for that to work out in your favor
