Bute folded under pressure once and he isn't stopping Johnson so this fight could be a little interesting. I'll be looking to see if Bute could beat Johnson better than Froch did.
It almost seems a crime that Bute and Froch get Johnson at this stage in his career, in a weight-class that years and years of success at 175 prove Johnson doesn't belong in. I thought Froch's win over Johnson was unimpressive. And if Bute does anything but dominate Johnson, his won't be impressive either.
Johnson became a bit overrated for a while,.. and now he's rated correctly,.. I see Bute perhaps stopping Johnson with an uppercut to the heart.
You are aware that boxing excellence is a dynamic phenomenon, right? That Glen Johnson today is not the same fighter that beat Tarver and RJJ. Add to that that he's not competing in the division he's demonstrated to be his ideal weight-class, and it cannot be denied that Johnson is merely a fraction of the threat he once was. It's not so much that he'd been over-rated, it's that he was better. And now he's mediocre. And yet, he's still perceived as a top guy. I guess when you realize this, it's seems more likely that he's over-rated at this point, and if you thought he was over-rated previously, then he's moreso over-rated now. Speaking of over-rated, Bute is hugely over-rated. His win in the rematch against Andrade didn't address one bit the doubts from his loss in the first fight. Other than that, he's been impressive, with consistent knock-outs (didn't see his last fight), but he really hasn't beaten anyone yet - let's face it.
I don't recall Bute losing that first fight. I thought you rated Andrade? Surely that is beating someone in your books.
Well, what I meant was it takes in all these moderately talented guys, Bute is a bit like Sturm, only better, and it looks after them very well. Bute is protected.
Bute doesnt have alot of fans, but he's better than Froch. He's gonna beat the shit outta old man Glenn. Might even stop him.
I think Bute will beat Johnson fairly comfortably, or he should anyway, but he won't stop him. Johnson's tough as nails. I hope he gives Bute something to think about during the fight and it's not a one sided beatdown.
If Bute wins, it will be his best win by miles and miles. Tells you a lot about that protected fraud. MTF
Yeah. I'm watching Clinton Woods talk a load of shite prior to what should be a decent fight. I hope Johnson fucking murders this cunt. MTF
Just to reiterate: Bute is ranked No.1 at SMW by Boxing News and Boxing Monthly. His best win is Andrade (in a re prior to his being KTFO save a corrupt ref) MTF
