Would Plant be too big, or would Kelly's pressure be too much? I'd have to believe that the Pavlik who beat Taylor in the rematch at 168 would give Plant a beating. Plant lacks the skill, toughness, and overall class of Hopkins.
Plant has really fast hands, but he's not a skilled fighter. It starts well for plant, but it goes downhill pretty fast after a few rounds
I wonder how Benavidez vs Pavlik would go down. I'm sure virtually everyone would say Benavidez, but it's worth noting that Pavlik never lost to a guy who was there for him to hit. I would pick Benavidez over Kelly, just saying. It's no foregone conclusion.
