Since there are so may wise people here who KNEW that Diaz would be exposed by Campbell AFTER THE FACT, I'm going to make it EASY for you guys to make some money...

...I'll take Diaz in the rematch at $50 a pop. Just sign up on this thread and we have a $50 bet for the rematch. You have Campbell.

I'm NOT a Diaz fan but what i saw tonight wasn't impressive. I saw a guy lunge into someone with his head to intentionally get a headbutt in in round 1. That caused a cut that eventually opened after the same fighter repeatedly targeted that eye in clinches. I think that played a major factor in the fight considering the injured fighter actually said "I can't see" way before the fight ended and fought trying to protect that eye for several rounds.

So for all you geniuses who KNEW that Diaz would be exposed by this guy and is the inferior fighter, here's your chance to cash in on the rematch. Just put your name here and we're in for $50 a man on the rematch.

A rematch has been signed already? Campbell targeted the cut but big damn deal. That's a smart fighter.

Considering the distractions he had all week, I would not count Diaz out in a rematch.

I have to say, I was shocked that Campbell was able to maintain that pace. If he can do it again, Diaz will ALWAYS have hell with him.

I told everyone via the radio show that Nate was live. I spoke with Nate and he told me it was God ordained to happen. Check this story out. He told me that someone shot 17-rounds off at him and not one bullet hit him. He knew at that point God had other things in store for him.

I'd rather just give Nate the credit for putting the hours in.

I'm sure. But he's also a former champ so it did come true. Probably Edison Miranda can be included in that group

People who picked Campbell - or thought he had a great shot - didn't necessarily do it because Diaz was "inferior"....

You pick on a fight-by-fight basis; and here many things aligned to make some believe Campbell could win.

If he remains in top mental/phyiscal shape for the rematch, he could do it again - and even were he to lose I bet it would not be an easy fight for Juan.

    Peace.

Maybe, but I went on record to say that Diaz's style is really a coverup for his weakness, bad defense. He gets hit pretty easy

he's just an A level talent.

I couldn't believe anyone thought he was a lock to lose. I mean he beat the piss out of Kid Diamond in a phone booth fight, even though i picked Juan (which I think was the safe pick) it wasn't inconceivable that he could take him out.

    Sure.

I'm just reacting to Caligula's overtones in his post.

Then again, he's trying to get a rise so that he comes into some betting money.

I just think its lame when people credit god for a performance. I mean if a loving God controlled all aspects of our life, try to explain how so many people are absolutely tortured in people like Miranda and Ouma's hometown.

Nate busted his ass for this fight, and put on a great showing, HE deserves the credit

Easy, people get tortured. God's people were held captive for 400 years. Shit works like that sometimes.

People bust their ass in the gym just like Campbell and still get KTFO. He feels it's in God's plans.

Dumbfuck, I'm talking about all of the after-the-fact pricks who KNEW Diaz would lose.

How many people have taken my offer? :dunno:

Problem with betting on Nate is that he's too unpredictable. He told me he feels good in that weight.

When I spoke with him he was ordering lunch, Breast of chicken with potatoes. He said he can basically eat anything he wants and still make weight.

    Let's not mix up topics.

NATE HIMSELF chooses to give credit to God for the victory - there is no one else imposing that on Campbell.

He believes it. That's what matters.

It doesn't take away the credit for what Nate did....they're not mutually exclusive.

    Peace.

You can make your point without the name-calling.

So you're talking to the folks who made no pick - or who picked Diaz - yet now are saying that they were sure Diaz was going to lose?

Ok...I just haven't seen that many people saying they were SURE of the loss that hadn't picked Nate...but I haven't read every post.

Good luck with the betting.

its makes more sense that people get tortured because of a loving god's will then it does people get tortured by other people of their discretion?

This is a TAAA topic btw, sorry for straying off course, although Campbell himself brought it up

So far the takers that think Campbell would beat Diaz in a fair fight: ZERO!!!

That should really tell you something about tonight's fight. :dunno:

:dunno: like I said the fight isn't signed. Diaz lost fair and square. Although the butt in round 1 looked like it could have been intentional it wasn't much of a cut at that point anyways. Campbell opened it up and swelled Diaz's eye shut with punches.

I never thought campbell would win, just because I've never seen anything in Campbell that made me think he is special. He's a decent boxer with a good pop in his right hand, nothing more. But he came with all his heart in this fight and imposed his will. Good win for him, and good loss for Diaz, he can learn from this one.

    Yeah, it's not too complicated.

I was never enthralled with Diaz. It's sort of like the old Phoenix Suns with me...I'd hear people talking about how his style was exciting and I never found it to be that.

For me, it's almost like if you've watched one Diaz fight you've watched them all.

I must say I wasn't sure how Campbell would do for twelve rounds against Diaz's style...especially after he came out as fast as he did but he was certainly on a mission. (Reminded me of the way Glen Johnson fought Jones Jr.) But Campbell lived up to all of the talking he did during the ref's instructions and later during the fight...he was there all night. :bears:
