It’s no secret that Nate Campbell and Joan Guzman don’t like each other very much. Both fighters have exchanged insults in the lead up to their championship showdown on Sept. 13 on SHOWTIME. Below are quotes from both fight camps this week. Campbell talks about his ability to hand undefeated boxers their first loss. He even goes as far to say he would like to change the “0’s†in their records to “Nate’s.†As in, Guzman (28-0, 17 KOs) will be “28 and Nate†once Campbell takes his undefeated record away from him. Guzman is going to get a beating. His flaws will be exposed in this fight bigtime. Mainly his inability to throw a right hand and his leaky defence. Campbell's going to do a job on this guy.
I've been told that Guzman has been looking great in sparring and his weight is being dropped very nicely. I wouldn't favour a career loser like Campbell in two big fights in a row. No way, no how. He's Nate Campabell.
I'll never understand how he lost to Francisco Lorenzo but besides that his carreer has been good...The thing I like about Nate is he shows up to big fights and in this paticular fight he has all the tools to put Guzman to sleep.
what guzman seems unaware of is the false notion circulating that he beat Soto easily. IMO, only with stink and flambuoyance did he covince the public he somehow "schooled" soto. No way. No how.
