I think he has an outside shot......

If Ken comes in good shape, and not that weakened bodybuilder ass shit he came in with during the Saku fight, then there is a slim chance he can pull it off.....Ken does two things very well, SPRAWL, and Ken can fucking CRACK

say what you want, but Ken is one the harder punching guys in the sport....If he catches Tito, there is a chance he can take him out.....

That or, it might be uglier than last time, and Ken might have another "heart-attack":jester:

Ken's punching is shit. His best bet is for Ortiz to be gassed out quickly, then hope for the best. Ortiz is shit anyway IMO. I never thought much of him. Crappy ass predictable sprawl and awful standup. Never beat anybody of any consequence in his entire career and got raped by anybody who could fight.
Shammy should be retired. He's got no heart for the game.

Ken's punch WASNT shit, maybe he doesnt have anything now, but in his day, Ken could straight up crack.....Not a great boxer, but he threw some hard blows....Look at how bad he had Fujita hurt, and Fujita once had Petre's ego land on his head and didnt even flinch. Its probably a moot point, because Shammy isnt even a shell of what he once was...Nor is Tito for that matter

Tito was always garbage. Even in his 'prime' or whenever that was, he got straight up ass raped. Ken in his young days, yeah you're right, he had skills and he had alot of fire. He could punch. But he just is so broken down, slow and old, that he can't even set up a good punch because his feet have invisible blocks of concrete tied to em. He's old and withered away.
Ortiz on the other hand, albeit being a joke, is good enough at this stage to beat Shamrock just using his ground/pound crap. Ken is just so old and weak, especially at 205, that he has no defense against it. Maybe he'd have a shot if they fought at heavy. He had to cut considerable muscle mass to make 205. Especially considering he was wrestling in WWE years before that and being a musclehead weighing over 240.

it is, I agree.....I was just feeling a bit nastalgic earlier from watching some old Shamrock Pride fights....Namely Fujita and the other japanese cat, whose name eludes me right now....

I'm sure Tito will smash him, but Ken USED to be able to sprawl and crack

Ken fought Tito right after thos 'fights' and what happened? Mauled.

He has no shot. Ortiz is fifty times as good as Shamrock.

Well truth be told, I don't know how Shamrock felt physically when draining himself to make 205. If you look at his size in pro wrestling, he was a juiced up musclehead, somewhere over 240. An Ortiz/Shammy fight at heavyweight might be a closer match.

Was Shammy trying to make 205 in those fights? Or was he fighting at a more natural weight? He sure as hell, with his muscle mass, ain't no natural 205. He had some serious shedding/dieting routine going on to make that weight.
Ortiz has no problem making 205 obviously, with those little chicken legs of his and slighter frame. You can obviously see he was nowhere near as strong as Couture in their fight. Ortiz got overpowered in every way in every position.

No, Shamrock was 'fine' in those fights because Pride don't test for roids mate. Ken's always going to have trouble fighting in commission regulated USA states.

And if you think Ortiz has 'chicken legs' and is somehow weak, well...I don't know what to say to you. Watch him throw around Ken Shamrock and see what you say then. Oops...watch him throw Shamrock around AGAIN.

Didn't say he was weak, said he had chicken legs. Which is why he'd get killed if he ever tried to make it as a heavyweight. Somebody like Couture though, he fared quite well at heavyweight and light-heavyweight.
But a guy like Ortiz, with his limited arsenal will always come up short against guys like Couture and Liddell. Mainly because he can't ground n pound those guys. If Tito baby can't ground you, he's dead meat.
In a couple of years, he'll be the Shamrock of UFC. He'll be everybody's preferred whipping boy.

Not only did Shamrock go all the way down to 205 , didn't he also have an ACL tear as well ?

Even though he is even older now , at the heavier weight and un-injured , I think he might pull it off ....
Shamrock is fueled by hate and will batter Tito ....

he was fueled by hate the first time and it got him nowhere

I didnt start this thread meaning that I thought Ken would win, I was just saying the if Ken can somehow come in in good shape, he haD a great sprawl and haD KO power, so he'd possibly have a dogs chance

Now, being realistic, Kens only hope is that Tito has fallen off more than ken has, and then some, and then a lot more. Ken got battered by Rich, and got stopped by Sakuraba standing, of all people....not exactly a good streak for Ken. Nothing to suggest that he is getting any better either.

He looks terrible for a fighter. His upper body is HUGE, and it seems as if in an effort to keep some weight off without losing his bodybuilders upper body, hes neglecting his legs, which have shrunk a whole freaking lot since his better days..

As for the talk about Ken cutting to 205, Ken fought Fujita at 211 or something like that and looked great until the "heart-attack"

I don't really care much for either Shamrock or Ortiz. I don't think either is particularly talented at this point nor in good condition. They're just a couple of yesteryear's deteriorating bums. MMA will leave Ortiz behind in a year or two, he won't be able to cut it and will lose more and more. Shamrock will be gone from active competition after this fight I bet.
This is like a Kostya Tsyzu/Sharmba Mitchell. Both have fallen off the map, but it was a hot fight a while ago. Now they're barely on the radar. Hoping for a double KO!!!

Here is a pic of Shamrock at the last Tito fight.

He will probably look something like this in the rematch ...
He is also listed as a weight of 235lbs so maybe 205 was hard to get down to.

I guess people cry about weight regardless of the sport, huh? What a crock of horse shit. Ortiz once cut TWENTY POUNDS IN A SINGLE DAY to make weight for a fight. When poor old Kenny does something like that, come and call me and we'll cry about it together.

As for your assertion that Shamrock will 'batter Ortiz'....well, care to make a bet on that?

He was ok about 5 years back. Till it was discovered that he's been beating up on bums and losers for most of his career and got ass-raped against any decent challenger, including his last fight which he clearly lost. He's highly overrated.:nixweiss:
    And Shamroid should be retired.

Come on Hanzy if Ken could do anything it's punch, he knocked Tito to his knees in the first fight then he quit throwing punches:19: then he just got his ass beat. Ken has a good chance of knocking Tito the fuck out but at the same time his got a good chance of getting the shit kicked out of him again.
Bottom line is Tito's chin is shit and Ken is 175 years old.

I seriously have to disagree with you:nono: ,Tito has beaten some good and GREAT fighters in his career. To call the fighters TAM-TAM and FourHooks listed above losers and bums just shows your lack of MMA knowledge.
