    Since i've been on these boards Hatton has taken plenty of abuse from a few of you guys, mainly for the following reasons:

    - ducking fighters;
    - being over protected;
    - not fighting in the U.S.

    At least now, surely (?), we can safely give him some credit for showing a willingness to travel and fight the best. Don't forget it was Hatton who chased Floyd for this fight as Floyd had retired.

    Sure, he was well beaten, but that's academic - he made the fight by travelling, going up in weight, and calling out teh best in the business.

    I think he deserves some credit for taht at least.

    Yep. Into the mouth of the Cannon he went. I'll say this much, any man who has a woman that will cry for him has something that 90% of Mayweathers people don't have.

    I've been a fan of Ricky for the past few years after initially hating him because I thought he was protected too much. He did the best he could against a great fighter and there is no shame in that.

    When I met Hatton, he was personable and down to earth and in general, a great guy. He'll be back and he should, as he has great fans and is entertaining.

    Hatton deserves hella credit for getting smashed up last night. No doubt about it. There's not many fighters that get dominated at their own game and then get closed out with a face full of turn buckle. Hatton deserves all the respect in the world. He just better not mention Money Mayweathers name anymore. I'll Holla 5000

    Same. I really thought Tszyu would batter him because he had done nothing and really fought no one leading up to that fight. I figured they were cashing him out. Hatton proved me wrong and I gave him credit.

    He's a nice guy, but I don't really care if he's a nice guy. I hate watching him fight. If it wasn't for the Castillo fight, which was ugly before the KO, no one would have forgotten how lowly regarded he was after Collazo and Urango.

    Exactly. Truth be told Hatton is the greatest wrestling boxer of all-time. The dude has no fucking skill level. He doesn't jab, he doesn't counter, he doesn't know how fight defensively, he smothers himself. I mean really we've watched numerous PBF fights and he's never had to wraslte a dude in the ring until last night. Shit was horrific however turn buckle meet Hatton, Hatton meet turn buckle. I'll Holla 5000

    well Mayweather fans would say that he(Hatton) called out Pretty Boy...but Margarito has been doing the same thing for years...but Mayweather doesn't respond by giving Margarita a fight.....wonder porque?...:dunno:

    But you know what Margarito wouldn't pay PBF the type of money that he made fighting Hatton. Also didn't Margarito just lose to Williams? I'll Holla 5000

    I don't care. I honestly don't think that Williams is that good. But if that will make you happy then let them fight. However will the Williams fight make PBF Hatton type money? I prefer Cotto rather than Williams and Margarito. I'll Holla 5000

    Margarita has been calling out Mayweather for a few years now...before Mayweather became "Money"....but it doesn't matter..I don't give a fuck about Margarita faggot ass..he had his chance at fighting Cotto in NY but decided to avoid him...for Williams fight...

    the point i'm trying to make is that some mayweather fans are saying Mayweather only fought Hatton cause he called him out..but that bullshit..Mayweather had options..Cotto, Mosley, Hatton..and like i said since the start he took the easier road...EASIER road but STILL very tough..Mayweather gets a ton of credit...he beat the undisputed jr. welterweight champion of the world...:clap:

    but lets not fake it and say..Cotto doesn't want any of Mayweather..just cause he isn't calling him out...:nono:..Cotto didn't called out Judah..or MOsley..the fight just happened..

    Hey, when the fight was signed, Hatton was considered the worst big name Floyd could fight at the time. He was considered the easy out. I'm not denying that.

    I agree. I need the Cotto/Mayweather fight. PBF would stomp a mud hole in Margarito's whack ass. I'll Holla 5000

    Don't you think a true champion should fight the best instead of just looking for big money fights all the time?:dunno: Isn't that what greatness is all about? To fight the best and prove you're the best in your division?

    Having Cotto actually try to make the fight happen, call him out would help. WTF is the point of going all the way from PR to watch Floyd fight then be reduced to "I have no opinion of the fight or the fighters and I'll fight whoever daddy Arums tells me to": :rolleyes:

    :rolleyes: Mayweather is the one bringing the money in this fight i guess..$$$$..he is the one that has to decide who to fight....CALLING OUT MAYWEATHER doesn't work that well..like i said MARGARITA was calling Mayweather out for a while and nothing happen....

    Like i said Cotto doesn't call people out...the fight just happen..he didn't say i wanna fight Judah..Mosley..etc..those fight just came..he never said he wanted to fight Margarita..but the fight was almost done..

    Cotto has a very strong following now, the whole of Puerto Rico. He's proven box office seeing how he's sold out the MSG twice now. Mayweather isn't bringing all the money in this fight.

    Rican please.

    Margarito ain't a star like this guys.

    Cotto "makes the fights happen"... mmm.. Floyd's people have wanted the fight since 2004, gotta wonder why this fight hasn't been made by Mr. Makefighthappens.

    Cotto did make the Floyd-Bruseles fight happen though, gotta give him credit 4 that. :cool:
