Who wins? IMO this might be Canelo's toughest test to date, but Bivol isn't a boxing marvel that Saul can't decipher and neutralize. It can go either way. I will be rooting for Bivol to score a shocking TKO, but will not be surprised either if Canelo pulls the stoppage. If it goes to the scorecards Canelo will be protected as usual.
I’d like to see Bivol win just to stop the Canelo hype train because it’s reached astronomical levels of SILLY… That said, I don’t think Bivol is good enough to destroy him…. He’s good enough to give him a tougher fight than he wants and he’s good enough to win more rounds than him, but that’s not gonna be enough. As you said, if it goes to the scorecard Canelo is simply not going to lose. He’s too much of a money maker. Canelo via close unanimous decision.
Hmmm.. let's see. Bivol has a safety first style. Canelo is hard to stop. Canelo is the hardest fighter in history to get a decision over. And the West is heavily anti-Russia atm. Bivol needs a miracle.
It's not like there are times where boxing fans hope for bad decisions, but this would be extra bad. You just know a bunch of people will put it down purely to anti-Russian sentiment as if Canelo getting a dubious win is somehow out of the norm.
Bivol doesn't have the heart to win. He's a guy going the distance with Craig Richards and never taking a forward step in the fight. His last 6 fights have all been backfoot safety first full distance performances. Canelo just needs to throw some good body shots and roll with the offence of Bivol to win rounds. Beterbiev will come after Canelo which would give him much more of a chance but I also think Canelo would win that fight too. Bivol has been out on his feet vs Joe Smith which he was lucky that it came at the end of the round and he staggered back to the corner. I don't think Canelo will stop Bivol because he has too much mobility and his stamina is fine. It's not like hes there trying to roll with shots like a Plant type. Bivol is using his legs for defense and getting himself out of the way of punches. Optics will favor Canelo coming forward. I will not be surprised if we all have Bivol winning but we know how boxing works and Canelo will get the decision. When Bivol has the decision of showing heart and going for it with combinations and taking it to Canelo, even just committing to strong attacks in general OR staying on the backfoot and losing a decision he is going to chose the later. I would be impressed if Canelo could get him out of there. I don't think Canelo is actually a great puncher as he is hyped up to be.
This is where I give Taylor and Serrano credit. Canelo is just shopping around..the two girls gave us the best fight they could make.
Pretty much sums it up. Unfortunately your post is Russian disinformation and marginalized our diverse cultural community.. .... You've been cancelled..
Can anyone provide me a reliable link on fight night? I haven't watched a boxing match live since Floyd vs Pacman so I am rusty about these matters.
I expect Canelo to win this but I actually think Bivol could be his toughest test to date. Bivol seems like the kind of fighter that doesn't get sloppy like Saunders or Plant. Wouldn't surprise me if Bivol pulls this off.
tougher than ggg, who beat him at leaat once? maybe toughest since ggg? i'd agree with that. bivol hits hard too.
As a Canelo supporter() I'm getting a little nervous. We saw Canelo struggle with slick boxers and guys with good Jabs. Like Lara, Like Kovalev and to some Degree Plant and Saunders had some level of success. And I think Bivol is a notch abovedado those guys with a good chin. I think it will be ugly and Bivol will give Canelo a Boxing clinic. This will look like Stevenson vs Valdez. Bivol SD(controversial)
