I was expecting Canelo to fight Kirkland. I think Kirkland would be an easier style for Canelo to look good for the Cotto fight.

Interesting fight, but can't see past the Gingerbread man.

Not a bad fight. This'll let us know if Williams is spent once and for all.

Haven't seen the Ishida fight, but he looked pretty shot against Lara. Lethargic, poor timing and balance, worse punch resistance.

Paul has always blocked punches with his face and it's caught up with him.

Unfortunately Ginger probably stops him, but a prime Tall Paul would bash Ginger all over the ring.

This will be the first time I've rooted for TP since he fought that waste of life Marg.

I hope he pulls the upset, and it IS possible he'll pull the upset, but I think Alvarez will win. I'm critical of the Ginger, but one thing I'll give him; he's a pretty accurate puncher. And Williams' defense will always be terrible.

I think the Irish Mex will win a UD. Probably hurting TP a few times, or scoring a KD.

Even though TP isn't what he once was, if Alvarez can stop him it'd be impressive.

This is a better matchup than Alvarez-Kirkland.

Kirkland is an ESPN2 fighter, and Alvarez would smoke him within 5.

GBP plan is for Canelo-Cotto in December than Canelo-FMM in May.

I agree. Williams will be eating punches from all angles until he collapses.

Card is shaping up to be good.

Jhonny Gonzalez will fight Ponce de Leon in the undercard.

Agreed. Cotto schools the Ginger and beats him up.

GBP will figure out that Cotto' is not yet past his prime enough for Ginger to deal with.....I doubt we will see Cotto vs. Canelo in December...

If the Mayweather fight is sooo close to happnening GBP would be stupid to risk Canelo...unless they were sure that Cotto was done. Maybe Cotto doesn't take the Mayweather lose well..and just let himself go. GBP will then make the fight...
