I think he loses to Eubanks by decision, Benn either stops him in a war or is stopped himself around the 7th, Collins-Froch is an absolute pick-em and whoever is at home probably gets the close decision. Calzaghe would have lit Froch up like a Christmas tree. Terrible style match-up IMO. MTF
Collins vs Froch, in a three fight series, is probably one of the greatest 3 fight series ever. It would be a rich-mans Ward-Gatti. Close, close fights. As Feebles says, Calzaghe is all wrong for Carl. Carl would get busted up in there. Eubank? I don't know. Its close. Probably Eubank. Froch can't hurt Eubank.
Froch beats Collins anyday of the week. He beats Benn also. Prime Eubank beats him, but Froch would run him close. Calz is the only one out that list that beats him by a clear margin. The only supermiddles in history who beat Froch with room to spare are Jones (obviously. Froch wouldn't win a round off young Roy), Calz, Ward, and Toney, ONLY if JT was in top form.
I am not sure about Toney, as he had zero stylistic variety. If Froch approached him the same way he did Abraham, throwing stiff left jabs and using movement, he might be able to take home a close decision even though Toney was miles better than Abraham. Also Toney would need to land plenty on Froch to slow him down
Oh come on now. Toney had a great p4p career and he had the correct stance but his results are not in different class from Froch. The victory over Nunn was solid, but Froch doesn't break down that easily and all the other impressive results from Toney's record are against opponents who attacked him
Jones would destroy Froch, its part Jones being very good and part Froch's achilles heel being people like Jones, in the first place. For instance, Jones and Toney were very very good, but Froch has no chance with Jones and a good chance vs Toney, especially if it is the Thadzi version. I'm not sure about Watson. Another guy people are sleeping on is Herol Graham. Graham would probably be too small to beat Froch but he sure would embarrass the shit out of him for a few rounds.
Froch is a lot EASIER to find than Nunn though. The Toney of the Barkley fight beats Froch by a clear margin IMO. Lets not forget that the "other" JT was one round away from outpointing Froch. Toney was a light year ahead of Taylor.
I think Froch would catch up to Graham late. Nunn at his best would school Froch. The problem is, Nunn's best was at 160. However, if we mythically take the late 80's Nunn up 168, then Froch gets outboxed badly. Nunn had more TALENT than Andre Ward. Shame he only had like a 3 fight prime.
I like Watson to win a decision against Froch. He was very solid and might be able to frustrate Froch with lots of jabs and meaty straight right hands. MTF
Froch beats Benn rather easilly, as he's bigger and stronger, ant it would be the difference in a firefight. Froch by late ko I think eubank was faily overated, and I like Froch to outwork him and take a clear decision. Froch makes Calzaghe reluctant (like he was against starie and Reid), and takes a close but clear decisions. Not familiar enough with collins, so won't make any pick
no i think froch would get beat pretty easily by toney,Jones and Nunn. i don't consider these three brits in this class of fighter
