Scarface is an entertaining, over-the-top film and "iconic", but Carlito's Way was definitely the better movie IMO. Terrific direction and top-notch acting. No ridiculous scenes where a guy is able to take 20 bullets to the chest from high-powered rifles without falling (let alone dying).
Scarface I don't care that a bunch of wannabe gangsters look at as iconic. I liked the movie well before any gangster rap existed. Spare me the "it's overrated" speech, i've read it a million times. I like Carlito's way a lot too. I own both, i just think Scarface is better.
Two of my absolute favourites. Scarface is probably the funniest movie of all time; any time it's on I can dip in & out at any scene and enjoy it. Carlito's Way is probably objectively better, but I'm calling this a draw.
