    What a bunch of bullshit from Shaw! I'm from CT and was at that fight. The promotion was completely non-existent locally. They took the HBO dollars and fucking screwed.

    I saw zero ads locally in any of the newspapers or on TV. When I got to the fight................no programs, no flyers, no t-shirts, there wasn't even a fucking scorecard passed out to let you know who the undercard fighters were.

    It was a shitty promotion all around. I've seen non-televised club cards at the CT casinos that were promoted better then this. When Chad fought in Bridgeport much earlier in his career against an inferior opponent, I believe the place was close to sold out almost immediately.

    Which seems par for the course in the way Gary Shaw handles the gate attendance side of what he calls "promoting".

    The combined attendance for his two fights with Tarver was under 2500 according to Thomas Hauser.
