Chavez in proper training would never be a welterweight. He weighed 142 for Whitaker & 144 for the DLH rematch.

He was allowed beer (Tecate) in most of his training camps but not in those two big fights. Given the results, they should have stuck with the Tecate.

    What Neil said.

The 93 Chavez would be too good for the waste of life, despite the size disparity.

Chavez is way too kind a MM for a piece of shit like Baldomir. I'd rather fantasize about what Leonard or Trinidad would do to him.

JCC hardly did anything above 140, but look who he was facing. He fought Pernell Whitaker and Oscar De La Hoya. I still gave him 4 rounds against Pea, and he gave a good account of himself in the 2nd DLH fight considering what a mismatch it was at that weight and that point in time.

Despite being not suited for the weight, I think Chavez could have won a title at WW against lesser opponents. Lesser opponents like that POS Baldomir.
