    The idea of a chisel is to gradually break open something really hard with repeated taps. Similarly, in boxing fighters sometimes "break" open defenses and head movement with combos of light punches. Then when openings emerge, they can throw the hard stuff.

    For me, the fighters who used this strategy successfully that come to mind are guys like Rocky Lockridge, Arguello and McCallum.

    What others come to mind?
