Yes...it's Eubank day but I promise this is the last matchup involving him for today. McCallum wanted a piece of Eubank badly. Eubank's management wasn't no part of guys like McCallum, Toney or Jones...and preferred instead to feast on Euro bums, mexican roadsweepers etc in order to pad his record. McCallum would have schooled Eubank IMO. He wouldn't have stopped him...but would have won a clear decision.
See McCallum-Watson for a preview, with the only differance being Chris lasts the distance. McCallum would kick his ass. Totally different level of fighter.
Hmmm...not sure I agree. Watson and Eubanks were very different fighters in that Watson was technically sound and came forward with constant pressure (save the Benn fight) whilst Eubanks was an odd sort- all strange angles, low hands and counter-punches. Also, fighting better fighters brought the best out of Eubanks: he was garbage when he fought against garbage but he excelled with his back against the wall. I agree that McCallum wins but it would have been a God-awful fight to watch and Eubanks runs him close IMHO. MTF
