Chris "Hard Hittin'" Henry to join Fightbeat next week!

Yes, the WBA's Number 3 ranked Light Heavyweight and future Champion will be joining FB next week with his own blog where the readers can ask him boxing-related questions.

This will be the first time FB has had a big name with their own blog here, and it should be all the more exciting for the readers and posters on site after he captures the world championship later this year.

Punk has been kind enough to commence setting up the blog and has assured Chris it will be heavily moderated and the rules will be strictly enforced.

This will be a new step in the future of fightbeat.com, and perhaps we can bring other championship level fighters on board here if it works out well with the posters and owners.

Mr. Henry has a full life as you folks surely know, and he has our gratitude for taking the time out of his schedule to read and answer your inquiries.

This is the thing though. It's not just FB or any specific site, but ANY site. EVERY site I've ever seen that had a fighter come on during a chat or whatever, is just a train wreck waiting to happen.

Because you get people who want to come in and talk shit to the fighter, and the fighter's like "the fuck am I wasting my time here for?"

People on the internet are the lowest scum of the earth, and due to the anonymous factor, they can say shit they'd NEVER say in a million years, if dude was there in front of them.

I wish this much success, but I doubt it'll happen. The blog comments will be filled with bullshit calling him out and saying he sucks and whatnot.

cool! For true boxing fans, they should embrace this. Because if this works, who knows what other fighters will possibly give FB a shot.

But if a fighter is just going to get disrespected, then there's no reason for them to even bother. They could be spending this time training or with their families.

 

I am sure Bowe wanted money, Hanz.

He makes his living now by selling autographed photos and T-Shirts in shopping centers and in Wal-Marts in rural America.

Bowe is a likable chap with some charisma, and I hear he does OK, but the big money is gone.

But we need a promise from you that you will allow Henry to speak for himself, and you will not fly off the handle, start insulting other posters, and embarrass the site with your threats and attacks toward other members.

In fact, I think it would be beneficial for everyone involved if you weren't even allowed to post in the Chris Henry forum. Afterall, this is about Chris, not you. But if you are allowed to post, as I will be keeping a very close eye on you, and if you get out of hand, for whatever reason, action will be taken.
