You lose your right to complain when you jump into the arms of a fat wrestler with no stand up in the first three seconds of the fight and try to take the fight to the ground a dozen other times, only to have him lay on you for five minutes. James Toney had better MMA tactics than this polish janitor. That being said Konrad is the fat white version of Lashley, although Lashley seems to have superior GnP. :laughing:

 

Konrad is much better than Lashley.

 

Of course he´s smart enough not to try and actually punch his opponent with his weak strikes, thereby exhausting himself like Lashley. Konrad just lays on top and controls position. Besides the guy that beat Lashley would win this Bellator tournament rather easily.

 

He's also a much better wrestler if you've been paying attention.

 

I paid attention, but after 30 seconds I fell asleep. I don´t deny he´s a good wrestler, but if you have a capable striker, who knows how to judge distance, there is little chance Konrad has the quickness to put you on the ground. He´ll gas on his feet. Wouldn´t surprise if it happened against Grove in the final. The final is supposed to be a five round fight and Konrad has no finishing skills to speak of, even if he gets Grove down. He was tired after three rounds today. At that point you´d have to favour Grove to knock him out imho.

 

If at least he had a fit body then I wouldn't be as hard on him. If he looked fit that would at least imply that he trains hard. But no he's just a fat slob who falls on top of you with his huge cow tits and suffocates you. No ground and pound at all. His "punches" look like he's swatting away flies from his bucket of KFC. No submissions. No stand up. At least the other fat slob Roy Nelson has very good stand up and submission game. This guy has nothing. He falls on you and you can't get out cuz he weights more than the moon. Good luck with that. I can't wait till somebody knocks him out cold and then stomps him back into consciousness only to knock him out again! Counting down the days....

 

Konrad would kill Lashley. As much as Lashley appears to be in great shape, he's got worse cardio than fat Konrad. Konrad will stop Grove in the final. Konrad by Sub.

At least Konrad admits he's a rookie and he's not very well rounded, he knows he has a lot to learn. I like Konrad, give him some time. He's very green still.

I'm not a huge fan but he's a solid prospect and an elite wrestler. He's flawed, but good enough to win this tournament at least.

 

Konrad is a the exact reason why I loved Pride rules.

I hate wrestlers that don't take any chances at all to try and end a fight. Konrad does make the slightest attempt to end fights.

I have no problem with wrestlers getting fights to the ground and using their advantage. But at some point they have to try and pass guard and inflict damage.

Konrad is boring but will beat many guys just because his wrestling is so good. But he will never be fun to watch.

 

Yet you are on the Machida bandwagon? He only looks to end fights when it's gift wrapped to him on a silver platter, much like Konrad does.

 

Get real dude. The minute Konrad has a single finish that is even close to what Machida did to Soakajew, Silva or Evans, then you may have a point.

Hell, Machida won KO of the Night in back to back UFC Fights. Konrad MIGHT win most time in top position without moving.

Machida is defensive and safety first, but he is FAR FAR more fun to watch than Konrad. Not even close.

 

Right, disregard the double digit decisions on Machidas record. He KOd two glass chinned fighters so he's obviously incredibly exciting.

Even more exciting was his followup decision "win" and the KO loss.

I bet you the exciting KO machine will certainy deliver another scinitilating finish against Rampage, huh?

Just because a guy gets rocked doesn't mean he has a glass chin. You truly have no idea how hard it is to take a punch with 4 ounce gloves on. Everyone will eventually get rocked. What impresses me is a guy who gets rocked and keeps his wits enough to keep on fighting.

I wish other organizations would use yellow cards for stalling as in Pride.

Seriously, there is no comparison in the boredom between watching a guy like Konrad that absolutely doesn't ever try to finish and a defensive striker like Machida who has knocked guys out, choked guys out, and beat guys up like Ortiz.

I don't need Sherdog or any site to tell me the average fan would rather have his testicles pounded flat with a wooden mallet than watch 3 rounds of Konrads flabby ass laying on top of some dude.

With Machida there is always the chance he will end the fight at any moment. With Konrad there is always the chance he will fall asleep on top of his opponent. Period.
