Anyone see his fight last weekend. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/noJ88eCirqs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The media is going crazy over here and MMA is beginning to break into the main stream media. All of this after one fight in the UFC. It's early days but Conor looks pretty decent.
I watched it. Man, he did a really good job. Amateur boxing champ, and it showed. Elusiveness, in-and-out style, uppercuts...it was a treat.
i don't know if you saw my post on the other site, but I think this kid will walk thru some top 15 opponent in the next 3-4 months and then be on the main card of a UFC event in Ireland within 18 months. I love it when you read all the gym hype about certain fighters and then they exceed those expectations when they finally hit the big show. McGregor did just that.
Agreed, I am delighted for the guy. All the hard work is beginning to pay off. Like I said earlier you have no idea what this one fight has done for MMA. Conor is going to be on our late late show, the longest running and most popular TV show in the country. Main stream media are all over him. I have never read a single MMA story in the news paper until now. Who do you think would be a good opponent for the Boston card?
How about Clay Guida? Personally I'd love to see Kenny Florian come out of retirement and take on McGregor. Boston MMA fans wouldn't know what to do.
