Two manufactured hype-jobs who were engineered into title shots ahead of schedule. For me it comes down to Grants ability to take Cooney early power and come back to win. I'm not talking about the Grant who was shot after Lewis and fell apart Vs McCline and Guinness, or the Cooney who was finished when he fought Spinks and Foreman. I'd have Cooney in 3 or 4 but Grant would be the biggest most athletic guy Cooney ever fought bar none and he might keep out of harms way just long enough to get back into it like he did vs Golota.
So you're talking about the Grant who looked totally inept against Golota but was able to stick around long enough Golota to lose his mind and self destruct?
My first thought is that Cooney blasts him out pretty early. He might ship some fire back but that left hook is the end of the discussion
Cooney inside of 4. Golota should have stopped Grant, but Golota was one of the worst finishers in boxing history. Cooney was a devastating finisher.
