I dont want to sound hard but didnt Chico make millions during his career? I assume he even has his house paid off. Your trying to tell me he didnt save anything?
I'm kinda with you on this one. Besides why wouldn't his boys like Sugar Shane come to his families aid. I'll Holla 5000
Don't know if that kind of stuff is made public. Who knows really? They may have a show where proceeds go to Corrales' family.
I agree. I liked Corrales as a fighter, but I have no sympathy for a guy who makes a ton of money, then ends up blowing it all, no matter who they may be. TFK
But he never asked for anybody's sympathy at any time. The people setting up these donation boxes are doing so in good faith to help his family. From my perspective, I'm donating just as a sort of final Thank You for all the phenomenal fights he gave us and all the blood he spilled for our entertainment. Plus he has many children, it's ok to help them if possible. But then again I give to many charities so I have no big problem with it.
He owed alot of money to alot of people. In 2006, Gary Shaw says he got paid three million dollars, yet in attendance the night he lost to Clottey was the IRS waiting first in line to collect their check.
I hear he is broke, but he had a bunch of Motorcycles. I think he had 5 kids as well. Diego also was fond of the drink. He was irresponsible obvioulsy and I have little mercy. I am broke because I went out and got an education. I have no mercy for those who have money and piss it away.
i know hes got more money then me, and most people, well besides maybe petre, no matter what the situation is
Yeah. Still, if his family needs money and people want to contribute that is a good thing. Personally, I have no mercy for broke irresponsible people. I am broke and I was always responsible. I spent on an education and I am underemployed. If I ever had money, I'd know the value and keep it. Regardless, I feel bad about this situation. It is very sad all the way around.
well I saw an interview with Joe Goosen a couple of months ago when he and Chico split up. He was pretty pissed at Chico saying how he turned out to be a totally different person than what he thought. he was going to sue him to get his money. opcorn:
Probably. I honestly don't know... but when a man dies and there's a fund set up to help his family, I'm not usually one to ask questions. From what I've been reading, he was in debt. I'm sure he was living in a nice house, but I don't know how long that was going to last for.
Hmmm - I'm out of a job at the moment - how about setting up a donation-box for Mean Mr Mustard while we're at it? Please - get over yourselvles: aren't there many, many other worthy causes putting your money into???
I think Sugar was in on that Chicken Pitbull Pyramid Savings scheme that Roy Jones Jr had going. When that thing collapsed, Sugar lost everything.
You can also donate money to the Abused Adult Resource Center through the link below: http://www.abusedadultresourcecenter.com/donations.htm
Actually - I am quite well-off, financially - but although Corrales gave us, the fans, some great entertainment.....I feel that....ahhh, fuck it, I'll just go and buy some more beer instead.
