2 quick handed southpaws, one being a hard hitter and the other a slick defensive type. How do you see this one go between 2 guys that fought both Klitschko brothers?
I'd take Byrd. Sanders was dangerous if he could counter, but Byrd would never attack. As an offensive force Sanders wasn't all that, his left lost its speed when he moved forward. Thus it would be a dreary fight, like Byrd vs Williamson, with Sanders trying and missing and Byrd avoiding all contact. After six Sanders would be tired and Nyrd would powder-puff his way to a decision
I'd take Sanders, who was way more gifted imo, if lazy. I never really thought much of Byrd, for a supposed "slickster", he lost a lot of rounds. Don't get me wrong, he had some good wins, and the majority of the time made it an awkward night's work, but if you were to say which guy had more upside and would be more likely to score an upset over a better opponent I'd pick Sanders every single time.
