"You'll never see it," said Emanuel Steward yesterday at a New York City press conference. "It's a matchup I would love to see. But I don't think Mayweather will ever fight him." When asked if HBO could force it or if Floyd is fearful, Steward replied, "I won't even get into that. I just don't think you'll ever see it."

As bad as I'd like to see this fight...and as bad as I hope if/when I do that Cotto beats Floyd... Be careful what you wish for Miguel.

The media needs to shame gayweather into fighting Cotto. Hell I'd be happy if Floyd was fighting ANYONE other than Oscar. I hope to god Oscar lands a hail mary and KO's his spoiled ass.

How convienant for Cotto to call out Floyd when May already has a fight lined up with Oscar in the fall, and Cotto has a fight lined up w/Marga in July.

Other than the Gomez fight Cotto has nothing lined up.....even in the article he says Top Rank is talking about fighting the winner of Cintron/Margarito..but nothing is set in stone....

Cotto vs. Mayweather could still happen in June/July if Cotto doesn't take much punishment in the Gomez fight.....

Margarito was calling out Mayweather a few years ago.....Mayweather did nothing....

Mosley was calling out Mayweather a year ago....Mayweather did nothing...

well he did do something....wait...wait..and wait...and hope that both would lose future fights...so they will eliminate themselves from the Mayweather sweepstake...

:shit: and some people here suggesting a few months back that Hatton would be a tougher fight than Mosley/Cotto/Margarito for Mayweather...:rolleyes:

and now Mayweather and DLH are setting up another bogus fight.....between each other...

Not to mention the Big Show at Wrestlemania.

The truth is, there'll be a lot more physical contact in PBF-Big Show than PBF-DLH II.

I wish this fight would happen. Miguel Cotto maybe the only fighter now that can give PBF his first loss and a decent fight.

Mayweather is afraid of punishment...just like DLH...at least DLH is an old man for a fighter..and has been in a few tough fights...

Mayweather right now is looking for the easiest fight possible...DLH II, Pacquiao, motherfucking JUAN DIAZ would be in there if he had any sort of popularity....

COTTO,MArgarito, Quintana,Williams,Mosley.....come on..and Mayweather can fight those guys? any of them will be tougher than a DLH rematch....

god i hate this SHIT!!!! :flip:

DLH will go on and rape ko Forbes like this.... http://media.uselessjunk.org/videos/msp-destiny-sc.wmv

and MANY will be claiming DLH will have a great shot...if he just lands that left hook he KO'ed Forbes...on Mayweather chin...:rolleyes:

why should Mayweather give a fight to someone who is slagging him off like that?

Don't talk rubbish- ODLH is a LEGEND and another victory over this version of him would greatly enhance Floyd's already controversy-free legacy...

It's refreshing to hear ONE of them mention the other. Its impossible to please some of these fans though. Particularly the ones defending Mayweather. You're crying when Cotto mentions him, just because they have fights lined up? God. You really have to be hard up for an argument if thats what you're resting on.

steward clearly has an agenda against mayweather jr. any opinion he offers on the subject should be taken with a grain of salt.

cotto will get the fight next year if he keeps winning. I wish it were in may before mayweather gets any older, but delahoya obviously brings too much money to the table for any sane person to pass up.

But from Mayweather's comments, he was ready to sit on the sidelines if the rematch didn't materialize.

Mayweather will probably wait and hope that someone else defeats COTTO....it work for the other guys at 147...Margarito,Williams,Mosley...etc...

why would he want that? you think he prefers his most marketable opponent outside of delahoya to lose?

mosley is also a marketable foe. and was offered the fight. it wasn't a very long wait for williams to lose, was it?

it's clear that Mayweather doesn't want any tough opponents..he will take the 20 mil from the first DLH fight...plus the WWE money..plus another 15-20 mil from the DLH rematch pose around for a while hoping for Pacquiao to move up or something...

if Cotto stays undefeated...Cotto vs. Mayweather will eventually happen...but Mayweather is hoping he doesn't have to fight Cotto....

That's the key! Cotto must remain undefeated. 1 loss and Mayweather will never fight him.

    Everybody Needs to CHILL...

Mayweather-Cotto WILL Happen N Due Time...Perhaps Even THIS Year...Floyd Ain't the Sharpest Tool N the Shed, but he AIN'T DUMB Enough to Go w/Out Fighting Cotto @ SOME Point N his Career...

Literally, ANYTHING can Happen...For Instance, DeLa could HURT 1 of his Hands N the Forbes Fight OR Look Sooooooooo UNimpressive that it HURTS the Likelihood of DeLa-Floyd II...

OR, Cotto Could Literally DEMAND a Fight w/Floyd, Calling him Out Similar to how Hatton Did (During the Postfight Interview for the Castillo Bout)...

UNTIL Hatton Ran Off @ the Mouth, NOBODY was even THINKING of a Floyd-Hatton Bout...It was on NOBODY's Radar for 2007...NOBODY's....Floyd had JUST Beaten DeLa & was Laying Back "Retired"...Next Thing U Know, he's SIGNED to Fight Ricky Hatton...

Same Shit COULD Happen w/Floyd-Cotto, CONCEIVABLY...

& B 4 the Cotto Lovers Get Toooooo Giddy, "Ya'll Musta Forgot" Floyd Tried to Fight Cotto a COUPLE Times, Back when he was Still Promoted by Bob Arum...& EVERYTIME, Cotto's Peeps TURNED IT DOWN..."We Need 18 Months....We Need 12 Months, etc."

REED Looooooooves Cotto, but Please DON'T Make it Seem like Floyd is All of a Sudden "Scared"...He HAS Tried to Fight Cotto...
