Cotto is a fat midget compared to Tito. Tito must have had a hell of a time ever making 147. He's pretty huge.
i'm telling you - Judah deserves some of the credit here. he's big in NYC. he never gets the credit or the money. i guess it's because he can't win a big fight. this is his chance. or, if he doesn't, he'll probably get at least 5 more.
Judah doesn't deserve credit. let's see how many ski masks are represented in the audience June 9. I'm willing to bet it's a pro-Cotto crowd.
it could happen. Judah is a real good counter-puncher. and he's fast as heck. and in the first 4 rounds, he's actually pretty hard to touch. but if the fight goes past 5 rounds, Judah has virtually no chance of winning. in the very least we can agree that Judah is better than Maliggiani. unfortunately, it's not all together clear that he's as good or better than Quintana, but he definitely hits harder and is quicker.

Judah has so much skill that sooner or later he should win a big fight. Damn this fight is hard to call.
I was one of the first members of the Cotto bandwagon, but this is a dangerous fight, simply because of the nuances Judah offers. He has good power, is quick handed, and is a southpaw. And unless you are a world-beater (Tzysu), tough as shit (Baldomir), or a total fucking stink who gets lucky and embarassed in a rematch (stinks) Judah will give you problems. I know he hasn't really won the big one, but he has beaten some B-C level fighters, and has the kind of style that can give people trouble. Since Cotto is such an unknown quantity at 147, I think its fair to say this is a toss-up in its truest sense. I don't think we've seen the best of Cotto, and if we see the Judah of the Mayweather fight, this will be an interesting scrap.
for anyone to claim judah brings nothing to the table as a name/ticket seller (especially in ny) is preposterous.
Agree that Judah has a better shot live than on paper. Critics can diss him all they want but there is no denying that the guy is naturally talented and gifted with speed and quick reflexes. His only problems have been motivation, toughness, and mental focus and I'm certain at least one of those won't be a factor in this fight, motivation. Not only does Judah have the motivation of feeling disrespected by Cotto being favored over him, but he also has the motivation of erasing the Mayweather loss and most definitely the Baldomir loss from peoples minds. We've seen how good he can look when motivated, the question is will he maintain his focus and be tough enough to handle Cotto's pressure and power. The answer is likely no, but there is the possibility that he either gets Cotto out early or is elusive/defensive enough to completely negate Cotto's offense. Judah has the skills and speed to box Cotto in the same manner Oscar did to Tito, if this is their game plan it could work beautifully in their favor. Cotto looked like a beast in his first foray at 147, but was it a fluke? Will he be able to land a glove on Judah? Tough one to call and I'm staying away from making a pick on this one. I'd say if the odds are big in one guys favor, it's a good fight to lay money on that guy because it can go either way.
:nono: uh uh uh uh uh uh uh UH!!,..It's simple Lib four Lib, anything Baldomir can do, Cotto can do better, I know he's overrated to hell, I mean this curracao borroca or whatever the fuck they call em', struggles with Pauli Malignaggi and Oktay Urkal for christ sakes, Cotto however, has still got a little 'pixie dust', certainly more than a dried out elderly axe-headed moth of a journeyman who can barely move, or breathe (Baldomir had shit stamina aswell ..ugh). One shot to Zab's guts accordingly, and that oughta make good usage of his footspeed for the rest of the fight. It is unfortunate, that when people witness handspeed, a string of illusionary stigmatisms skewer itself to it like a kebab, quick punches make people go 'ooooooo'..."hey was dat power or skillz?...dunno, but she sure looked sweet"......,For example :crafty: !!!!..Margarito would labour to 35 consecutive body shots, then Clottey would rip off a quick, explosive 3 punch combination at the end of the round, 'oooooooooo' Illuminati would say, and notch the round down for Clottey. :nono: 'rooooooaaaarrrr' I said,..and struggled to hold my sanity together unsuccessfully that's why I periodically stalk him these days, and on the subject of mental illnesses, Judah is infected by one as beautiful as Andrew Golota's whopper,..mass brain complications are just not as rememberable with the viewers as say a glass chin,...which.....Judah possesses aswell god bless him, BUT, people tend to dismiss psychological problems as if they go away over night, but unfortunately, as you can see with Illuminati, they just don't. If you already have the feed of hype immortally operative with a dose of good handspeed, it overrides the rest of his fatal faults, and he's exempt from peoples minds as the BUM that he truelly is, this is why it's two 'superfights' in a row, which proceeded an initial humiliating loss,..-----Now that's amazing :dunno: how the fuck does a fighter manage that?.
Ok guys below is the most recen video of Cotto's training for Judah! It was recorded Wed. Enjoy! http://www.primerahora.com/XStatic/primerahora/template/multimedia.aspx?ad=71470&t=1 Here are some pics as well! http://www.endi.com/XStatic/endi/template/nota.aspx?n=222804
Judah is a LIVE dog. He wont be taking Cotto lightly the way he did Baldomir and Pineda and he knows this is his last chance at being a major factor in boxing. He'll be READY!! So couple this with the fact that he has lightening quick hands (faster than Floyd's), one punch KO power, slick southpaw style and championship experience...and we know that Cotto can be hurt...and you have a rather unpredictable fight.
