Cotto vs Duran @ 147

Could Cotto have beaten the Duran that beat Palimino & Leonard?

I simply posed the question to see what the Cotto dick riders think.

You should be more worried about Cotto/Mayweather. If the fight is ever made your hero will be in great danger of losing his "0" :: :cheer:

 

A very even fight but at 147 I think Cotto has the edge

 

Nobody,...i mean nobody could stand and slug with Duran at 147 or below. His chin was too good, his relentlessness was too draining, his ferocity was unmatched.
Cotto is good,....but he isn't that good. The only way to beat the Duran that fought Leonard was to box, box and box some more. Cotto would not be fast enough of foot to keep Duran off him.

The problem with the theory is that very few really good fighters tried. Sugar Ray did of course and came damn near pulling it off even though he wasn't a slugger himself. Cotto has the speed, punchand strength to make it hard for Duran

 

So you think Cotto is better than SRL? I know,...that's not fair.

Styles make fights.......and Cotto isn't a guy who's style would be difficult for THAT Duran.
