cotto via controversial decision. cotto boxes early to mid rounds, but margarito catches up, slowing down cotto w/ work to the body before busting him up on the inside w/ damaging uppercuts.

Cotto in my opinion has too many weapons. I see another Margarito/Clottey (first 4 rounds) but with Cotto doing much more damage and winning the fight. The only way I can see Margarito having a chance is if like Clottey Cotto hurts his hands.

    Cotto TKO 11 Margarito.

lemme guess. you're still not impressed with Margarito, and Cotto's beat-down of a club fighter has you thinking he's a master craftsman with better skills than Tony.

Yeah, I have a feeling that given the way things are with Mayweather, Cotto may be looking at one or more rematches himself...with Margarito, or Mosley...or even Judah if he manages to win in May.

Antonio punches Cotto into submission as the ref waves it off. Round 8-10.

cotto is clearly the more versatile and athletic one of the two. but margarito not only hits hard, but does so throughout the later rounds and will hold a distinctive height advantage, something cotto isn't used to seeing.

if cotto makes this into a war, he'll get punished, but i'm gonna assume that he'll try to fight like he did vs mosley, except margarito is gonna be in his face all night and throw more punches (especially to the body) than that faded version of mosley.

margarito didnt look so good against clottey, but he had clottey on the verge of being stopped at one point. not sure if cotto has the better chin, but margarito is going to punish him once he unloads on him w/ that uppercut against the ropes.

nevertheless, i expect a great fight.

Cotto's getting his azz kicked. And I'm looking forward to it. The only question is whether or not after beating Cintron twice, basically drawing with a hit and hold Williams, beating Clottey and now Cotto, if Margarito will finally get some credit.

Also, if there were only a remote chance of PBF ever fighting Margarito, on the heels of Tony's win over Cotto, there will be none. PBF would sooner move to 154 than fight Margarito. Believe me.

Agreed. Cotto stops him on cuts. Probably sooner, though.

Cotto via close decision. He'll taste the canvas once and then recover enough to outbox Margarito.

If Margarito beats Cotto..Floyd would offer to fight him IMMEDIATELY...like he did similarly when Corrales was seen as his biggest threat back at 130lbs. Floyd will fight Tony and win 12 lopsided rounds. It'll be embarrasing...

Tony will knock Pretty Bitch into next year! Pretty Bitch knows it too which is why he's ducking everybody to fight bums, losers, and little guys. Now he thinks he's a WWE superstar, needing 8 bodyguards, steel chairs, and brass knuckles to beat the Big Show. Booooo!!!!!!!

 wow...Mayweather is sooo brave...for a while back then Margarita was his biggest threat at 147..for a few seconds it was Paul Williams.......and for the last 10-13 months Cotto has been the biggest threat....

The last 2 guys Mayweather went up against you picked both to beat him. He fights Margarito and Cotto and beats them then hes ducking somebody else and they suck all along right?

I am still not impressed with Margarito. Cintron has power, that's it. His heart pumps Kool-Aid, he is one dimensional as hell, and he is physically weak for the weight class.

Beating Cintron again doesn't impress me much. Has a good beard though, and I will give him that.

Against Cotto, Margarito will be totally outmatched and outclassed. Look for Cotto to butcher Antonio slowly, and stop him on cuts, or in between rounds corner stoppage before round 10.

Margarito's defense sucks...and Cotto's vast offense will wear him down to the point that he is taking terrible beating.
Margarito's chin may ruin him in this fight, and his corner better not let him hang in there too long or his career will be over.

Cotto wins this one very, very easily.

    ill take margarito

hes ALOT bigger than cotto and his workrate is nuts

i dont think cotto punches hard enough to stop him

i think if margarito can start fast and keep the punishment on, especially those body shots and uppercuts, he has a very good chance at victory

    plus hes tough as hell

(and speaking of tough, i thought gomez showed alot of toughness, he was getting his ass beat and kept fighting)

All jokes aside Margarito got a GRANITE chin for fucks sakes:doh: Cintron landed some BOMBS and the fucker just smiled at him. The only time I ever seen Tony hurt was against Daniel Santos. And Santos was 170 fightnight:eeeek:

    Cotto TKO 10.

Marge is too basic, too slow and has too shit defense to even last the distance with cotto.

He has an excellent chin yes, but anyone can be hurt, and cotto is so accurate, with such heavy hands that marge is going down. He is just too hittable.
