Don't you think the extra experience that Cotto gains within two years benefits him? Floyd will probably be a slightly worse fighter than that he is now within two years.

Cotto can definitely win now and as time goes by his chances increase. I also think that he needs to blow out Margarito without getting damaged to achieve this. The longer it goes, the worse wear and tear for him.

Like Mayweather wouldn't get any wiser too.

What makes you think that? He's still young, in his physical prime :dunno:

I have the feeling that Mayweather has reached the top and Cotto is still climbing.

Cotto fights the same way, you won't see him suddenly throwing wicked right crosses, or having faster legs to keep up with floyd. The way Floyd trains and keep himself healthy and in good shape will preserve his body from leaving it's peak. While Cotto is known to baloon some in between fights, drink beer and party hard. I'd take the Spartan over the Barbarian anytime.

TODAY, Floyd Wins a Castillo I or II Type of Bout Due to SUPERIOR SKILLS, MOVEMENT & DEFENSE...

But the Thing is, Floyd is ALREADY 31...The Loooooooooooooonger he Puts OFF Cotto, the LESSER His Chances of BEATING Cotto Becomes...

Cotto has UNDERRATED Athleticism...Particularly as it Pertains to his HANDSPEED & HEADMOVEMENT...

    Floyd Would've WAXED Cotto N 2007, he'll STILL BEAT Cotto N 2008, but N 2009, Floyd-Cotto is Pretty Much a COIN TOSS...

ppl criticize castillo 4 beating on smaller fighters (which he did not), but noone takes issue with pbf's major size advantage at 130 and @135.

Floyd didn't gain 15-20 pounds like Castillo did. Not to mention he always made the weight which is something JLC can't say as he has missed weight a few times. Floyd walks in the ring weighing less at WW than Castillo did at Lightweight.

He wasn't a particular BIG lightweight...but yes, at 130 lbs he was big enough to KO his opponents with relative ease. Altough is wasn't like he was killing himself to make weight like Corrales or Castillo.

His biggest wins came over Hernandez and Corrales, who had 3 inches in height on him.

He also beat a guy in Pep who was like 6 foot 2.

Castillo gets more criticism for trying to manipulate the scales.

There's a stigmatism to the nickname "Lil Floyd", but he had a Paul Williams of a time down there at 130, Fraud doesn't look out of place at welterweight at all, infact I thought I saw him bullying a little albino in his last contest.

One of Fraud's first words during his first staredown against Hatton,.. "You're too small"...[IMG] and as he towered over him, looking down, with arms and shoulders more robust and twice the length of the career junior-welterweight,.. it's very, very hard to argue with him groupies..

Floyd OUTGREW Hatton while moving up. He looks more solid, Hatton couldn't move him around like he did to Kostya.

Hatton didn't move Tszyu around, he just smothered him constantly, at one stage Tszyu got pissed off and threw him to the floor. Tszyu should have turned his back, elbowed him in the head, put his forearm in his throat, backpedalled and threw the occasional check-hook, but he doesn't fight that way.
