This question would have seemed crazy about a year ago, but now? Honestly, the way Taylor looked last night, could he handle Floyd if Floyd came in at about 155-156?

It was crazy then and it's still crazy now. Taylor is just too big.

If Taylor nearly beat Spinks, he will dominate PBF

Yes and he should try. He will be a legend in the sport if he does that and he could. You have the smartest fighter against the dumbest. JT would get humiliated. Hell, Spinks could have won had he attempted to do so. I want JT to fight Joe. It will further prove my superiority. I have said for about 5 years that Joe would have more trouble boxing his wife than JT. EASY, EASY, EASY, EASY work for Joe.

    back to serious discussion....

Taylor is a very big Middleweight and Floyd is small even for a Welterweight. This is asinine....

Floyd would win. I said that during the DLH fight. Taylor would get his retarded ass humilated. Floyd could move in and out and counter Taylor to a huge decision loss. The disparity in skills is far greater than the size difference. I will put it this way. There won't be anybody claiming Floyd lost to JT. He would put a schooling on JT.

    REACH...reach reach....

That'll be Floyd's problem if nothing else. Floyd would be hitting gloves 90% of the time and he'd be too nervous and tentative to actually get close enough to land enough effective punches. His defense and movement would probably allow him to late the distance...but he's not winning.

And none are bigger Floyd fans than Myself....

Floyd could win....if Taylor doesn't jab...it's easy fight for Mayweather.

Steward was begging Taylor to throw more punches...just throw this guy cannot hurt you...did TAYLOR listen? NO.....

All Taylor has to do is JAB..if he jabs Mayweather is too small and can get past the jab.....BUT I DOUBT Taylor can do it...he seems boxing retarded...

Taylor is Waaaaaaaay Tooooooooo BASIC to Beat Floyd...

    @ SOME Point,SIZE would OVERCOME Floyd's Skill,but NOT N Taylor's Case...There's a Couple Middleweights that would BEAT Floyd,but Jermain Taylor ISN'T 1 of them...

ohh and Taylor will have to stay TALL against Mayweather..if he bends down and do the up and down thing like he did against Spinks...his jabs will be useless because Mayweather will counter him with the right hand...all night long....

Given Taylor's height, size and Speed...and the fact that he hung tough with Bernard Hopkins TWICE...if Floyd were to beat him, it's Floyd and Ray Robinson.

    Simple as that!

Floyd could fight another 100 fights, winning them all by KO, beating Wlad Klitchko in the process and people would still say that SRR is #1.

So FUCK public opinion on this one...if Floyd..a former Super FEATHERWEIGHT can beat the man who twice beat the great Bernard Hopkins (who went on to dominate the man who twice beat Jones)...he's proven more than Robinson and every other fighter in history.

    But it wont happen...

after seeing floyd struggle offensively against that washed part timer a few weeks ago I can't imagine he would beat a bigger, more athletic, fresher, full time fighting middleweight.

taylor or spinks would easily and decisively whup delapartimer....if floyd wouldve shut out dlh as I expected then I'd give him a solid chance vs taylor. instead he was far too tentative and lost 3 or 4 rounds

If I were Floyd, I would call this guy out right now. Mayweather could weigh between 152-156 and take this kid to school. This would be humiliating for Taylor. A victory over Taylor puts Floyd into all time great status and nobody can argue otherwise.

    Mayweather via UD.

Cory Spinks is now a full-sized middleweight. Mayweather's barely a welterweight.

I like Mayweather by unanimous decision in a fight vs. Taylor.
He ought to move up and go for it.
Griffith did it, Walker, Basilio, Leonard, Robinson and Hearns did as well.

Henry Armstrong did as well when he was featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight champion, but was shafted in a draw verdict when he really beat middleweight champion Ceferino Garcia.

Floyd was excellent skills and all and is leagues more polished than Taylor, but I still think he's at too large of a disadvantage in size.

We saw how much smaller De La Hoya looked in size at middleweight, fighting Bernard Hopkins (around the same size as Taylor). And we saw how much smaller Mayweather was than De La Hoya. Imagine the size difference between Mayweather and Taylor.

Mayweather was pretty tenative against De La Hoya, he may be even more so against Taylor.
