   I'm just waiting for Ashes reply, cause I know its gonna be the the final result is Wilfredo Gomez.
barrera is a dirty fighter too. he likes to hit during the break which is a definite bitch move if you ask me.
He's the one that bugs me the most because he's such a fuckin hypocrite. He showed his true colors during the JMM fight.
when the ref tries to break apart, he tries to sneak in a punch in the process. we've seen this in fights against hamed, morales (all 3 times), pacquiao and of course, we all saw what he did vs jmm. at least hopkins does it from an angle where the ref can't say and gets away w/ it. the way barrera does it is almost like a sucker punch.
Low blows: Hopkins (thigh hitting) Headbutting: Hopkins Elbows: Hopkins (uses it to create distance) Rabbit punching: Hopkins Clinching/hit and hold: Hopkins Hitting after the bell: Tua Hitting opponents while down: Roy Jones Jr
he hit Echols behind the head when Echols turned his back on him. Other than that, i dont recall hopkins hitting behind the head. tua only hit after the bell and that was against rahman. same goes for roy, he did that once vs griffin. have you not seen terry norris fight? or teddy reid? hopkins throws elbows?
First you have Panama Lewis in the corner. Then you have Eusebio Pedroza's penchant for hitting guys in the back and throwing elbows. You've got Andrew Golota's low blows for viciousness, but have him do it as often as Bernard Hopkins does when the ref is on the other side. Either Golota again or Mike Tyson for teeth use. Evander Holyfield's frequency of headbutts, but with the slickness of Carlos Maussa so we can all laugh at it. Terry Norris for hitting guys when they're down. Take some of the old timers like Fritzie Zivic or Sandy Saddler for thumbing (they'll still find a way to do it with the new gloves) and lacing. Tyson again for hitting after the bell. Riddick Bowe for punching behind the head. And in case the fighter can't make weight, we'll have Jose Luis Castillo's old doctor or the commissioner of the NYSAC in 2000.
It wasn't just when Echols turned his back. Hopkins did it a few times in the clinches if I recall, and he did it right before Echols decided to throw him on the canvas. Echols got mad after one of the rabbit punches, said "oh we got a problem now!", and threw Hopkins down on his shoulder.
I love it:bears: you have to throw in Sonny Liston's gloves so we can somehow get shit in our opponents eyes to blind em!:cheer:
that's true regarding Golota. Tyson gets all the credit as the biter, but it was Golota who first bit a guy. and if you ask me, there was something even more disturbing about Golota's biting. whereas Tyson's seemed premeditated, and designed to elicit a response, Golota did it purely out of instinct and had no intentions of being caught - only to survive.
I have thought the same thing many times. Golota grew up in a different world. I've heard he was raped as a little boy, lived on the streets, had to steal food just to eat. Not sure how much of it is true, but if it is, it gives us a glimpse of why his mind is the way it is.:eeeek:
