Barkley had like 7 fights when he faced Simms (good fight by the way). Still, I agree Jacobs is the favorite here.
I have no clue what Danny Jacobs has ever done to make him the favorite over Barkley. What in the living Hell does Cancer Boy do better than Hearns? Jacobs has gotten faaaarrrrrrrrrr too much mileage off of LOSING to Golov. Barkley had the bigger wins, by far. No way Jacobs should be favored here.
Barkley has gotten far too much out of the fight with Hearns. He's getting far too much mileage out of landing a haymaker while getting absolutely battered vs a past prime welterweight, who was known to have a shakey chin. Jacobs doesn't just have the GGG fight, he has the Canelo fight too. Outside of Hearns, what else does Barkley have? Winning four rounds vs Nunn? Barkley lost to an ancient lightweight, was KOed in one by Benn, was dropped by Olijade, KOed by Sims, should've lost to Mike Tinley and almost lost to Sanderline Williams. Let's not pretend like Barkley was impossible to beat.
Well, he has two wins over Hearns. Wins. He arguably won the Duran fight, and I say that as the forum's biggest Duran fan. Jacobs basically went into survival against Canelo, and he just got a total gift over Rosado. I know Barkley was no great, but hard to envision Barkley going life and death with Rosado.
