I think it’s a war. Would be close IMO.

I think Danny circa 2012-2013 was a level above Taylor. He kicks Josh's ass IMO. I really don't like how hittable Taylor is. I don't think it bodes well for him down the stretch against Danny. Whereas, we know for a fact that Garcia wouldn't have any issue handling Taylor's power.

I'd pick Taylor in a good fight. I get holding Taylor's last fight against him when evaluating his chances against the current top welters or against great 140-pounders from the past, I totally understand that. Saying Danny Garcia is a level above is a bit much imo, and I was always a fan of Danny.

I think Taylor gets destroyed by the 2013 Matthysse. What Danny did to Matty Ice puts him a level over Taylor imo.

Josh was underrated before he was a name, then he became really overrated.

He gets hit to beat to beat Danny, and his chin is solid but not great.

I think Taylor let's his hot head get to him, he gets into a slugfest with Garcia, and he gets stopped.

I can't see Matthysse beating Taylor tbh, certainly nothing to suggest he gets destroyed anyway. Taylor's been dropped once (I think?) and for the most part has displayed a dependable beard. I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt until there's evidence he doesn't have the chin to cope with Matthysse's firepower. I would also say Prograis is a better win than Matthysse.

Prograis certainly never proved as much as Matthysse. Mathysse annihilated Peterson in three, and clearly beat Alexander (horrible robbery).

    What did Regis do?

I do agree that Matthysse has the better names on his record as it stands right now. I just think Prograis will prove to be better in the long run, seems more skilled and with more dimensions to his game. To be fair though you're right, on resume alone you can't really have Prograis ahead currently, and at the moment Regis isn't exactly going out of his way to help my case :Jest:

I like Regis and all, but his resume is not exactly murderer's row. I've also always been clear that I only think Prograis is good for this junior welterweight era.

Matty Ice is now forgotten, sadly.

Josh got buzzed by Baranchyk and Ramirez. I don't feel confident about him beating a prime Lucas. Not as hittable as he is, and not as easily as his face bruises.

I think young Mattyhsse would have murked Taylor.
