Talented, was very impressive as an amateur.

Will wait until he has a pro fight against someone with a pulse before I further evaluate. That Tyrone Watson was even approved two weeks after getting his ass kicked by Fernando Guerrero was an absolute disgrace.

He throws lead right hooks as if they're jabs,.. he never has a gameplan, just,.. doubles those lead right hooks up, triples them up actually,.. infact, come to think of it,..I've ever seen him throw any other punch?

He's talented, but it seems like with all talented NY prospects (Stevens, Codrington, Teron, and on and on) you need to hold off before joining the inevitable hype wagon. I like Jacobs, though.

Teron wasn't hyped. The only REAL hype machines out of New York of recent note were/are:

    Jaidon Codrington
    Curtis Stevens
    Dmitriy Salita
    Kid Chocolate
    John Duddy

These guys were actually considered to be bonafide title holders/contenders. Even Paul Malignaggi wasn't considered in that regard. Jacobs has more hype, maybe not PR hype yet, but is more highly regarded than any of the above fighters. These guys even admit that Jacobs is better than they are.

What you have to understand about New York is that there's ALOT of media. I went to a Salita fight at the Hammerstein Ballroom, which holds about 1,500 people MAX. There were 96 media members in attendance. One week later, I went to Philly to see Eddie Chambers fight, and there was 6 media members in attendance. New York guys just get alot more press because there's alot more people covering them.

Be sure to dress accordingly. I've been to those, and if you're not dressed with a tie, jacket, etc... they still won't let you in.
