disagREED on Moore being an ordinary fighter. I watched a lot of Moore's fights during his heyday. He had good power, heart and some skills. His biggest problem was that he was rushed into a winnable alphabet title fight and, as a result, never fully developed his skills to their fullest potential. I just don't see an ordinary fighter doing as well as Sugar Ray Leonard did against a good fighter like Ayub Kalule. As for the MM...I would favor Jackson, but I would make Moore a live underdog. Moore's early aggressiveness and wide open chin would seem to be a bad match-up for Jackson's power shots, but Moore could also punch as well (not with Jackson's one shot power - but he still had good power), was a quick starter and Jackson's chin wasn't exactly made of steel. I would take Jackson by TKO somewhere between rounds 4 - 6, but it would be a wild one while it lasted. And a Moore win isn't out of the question.
Agreed. Moore was a good fighter prior to being ruined by Duran. But even the pre-Duran Moore was just too offensive minded to beat Jackson. Other than McCallum who did it, there isnt any other 154 pounder in history who I'd pick to win a shoot out with Jackson. Moore hurts Julian once or twice, but in the end Moore ends up out cold flat on his back.
Ignore Ugo, for some reason he just really hates Duran, and therefore wants to discredit every impressive win on his resume.
