Give me benavidez. I think hes relentless and good enough to get to calz. Not a lot of confidence in my pick though

JOM will pick just about anyone over Calzaghe.

Calz would dominate Benavidez. I like Benavidez a lot more, but I don't think he beats Kessler, nevermind Calz.

No, i never picked a bum or even a non elite fighter over him. Hell, just a few months ago, i picked him over Canelo. I just dont buy into this collectice hysteria that he was that atg unbeatable fighter.
His two best wins are without a doubt a clear but close win over Kessler and a contentious decision over Methuselah Hopkins. While good wins, Ward showed us how an ATG deals with the fighter at the level of Kessler, and freaking Jean Pascal turned almost the same kind of performance against (an albeit even older) Methuselah Hopkins.

And i probably rate Benavidez higher than you do.

You picking Calz to blow out a fighter at the level of Canelo (when its arguable that he never fought a guy at this level), pretty much shown that you have fallen for the aforementioned collective hysteria.

I rate Benavidez high only because he and Canelo (and possibly Morrell) are the only elite level guys at 168 right now.

In the Super 6 era, I don't think Benavidez would fare as well as he does today.

I don't think Benavidez would do well at all against Calz's speed and footwork. I think Joe would make him look ponderous.

Another thing to note... Calzaghe was WAAYYYY physically stronger than Plant. Bena wouldn't be able to to manhandle Joe in close the way he did Caleb.
