Moorer did beat Holyfield and if he were to box as well here he might win. Chances are though that Haye clips him, haye's footwork was enough to catch Moorer and MM wasn't too tal for him, making this a good styles matchup for Haye
Moorer probably would do lots of good work with his jab and stop Haye in the mid rounds. I can see Haye scoring a knockdown with his fast and powerful right hand, but Moorer would survive the onslaught and take back control. Moorer came back from being dropped or hurt several times to win fights. Moorer was a considerably better technician. He didn't have the best chin, but neither did Haye. Haye is very, very overrated. There's a lot of good heavyweight fighters I would not pick Haye to defeat, and Moorer is one of them.
Haye is dangerous early doors but gets very sloppy with his punches after a few rounds. If Moorer gets past three rounds, which I think he will, the fight is his.
This. I mean, with Moorer's chin, Haye DOES have a chance. But overall, I just view Moorer as the better fighter.
